Since I’ve moved the site and all….

Unfortunately (for some reason) it didn’t keep the user information. So what that means is all the registrations were lost. Sorrry

It took me 3 hours to assemble Moms friends entertainment unit.

The stupid instructions were fucked up royaly. They would go from steps 1 - 6 then about thirty pages of spanish then back to another 3 or 4 pages of normal human being instructions.

Nothing was labled, well most of it wasn’t, just the larger pieces had a letter H,Z,B, or C on them to identify them. These were the biggest pieces, any idiot would know what they were for! DUH!

The hardest part was trying to guess what 4 or 5 pieces were the one you needed because they were all very simular.

But you know what? I enjoy building them things. It’s like a larger version of a car modle or something. A puzzle if you will.

I’m a bit sore because of the akward sitting positions and off balance leaning and stuff. OK, OK, the fact that I’m a bit out of shape may have contributed to it too.

Now I’m sitting here, a bit sore still, but enjoying a nice cold beer.

I won’t be doing a whole lot today as far as fixing up the site.

Mom wants me to help her friend, set up her new entertainment unit, meaning set it up for her and not actually help her set it up.

But at least there’s a box of beer in it for me.

I was going to make a new theme today, but, to be quite honest. I really don’t feel like doing any of that shit for awhile. So I’ll just snoop through the thousands of already available themes out there and snatch one of them up instead.

HEY! I just noticed that my WP automatically saves your post while your writing it! You know, just like MS Word. Kewel! That must be a new feature in the latest version. Great idea!

Well. I must have had a brain fart.

When I went to bed last night, my mind was racing, trying to think of a way to have all the links updated in one swift command, so that all the images wouldn’t be broken because they all linked to the old address.

Then I got to thinking. (Yea, I can actually do that when I need to. But ONLY when I need to, otherwise it hurts to much.) That file I used to export from the old site and into the new site is an XML File! This meaning that it was editable!

So I got up and opened up Dreamweaver and ran the Find and Replace script and let it run while I went back to bed.

About one hour later, I had almost four years of posts all updated! YAY!

So this morning I deleted the Database I made yesterday, so any posts I made yesterday are gone, and so are the comments. That’s no biggie. There wasn’t anything posted except me bitching about wanting to update the links.

So basicially, I just imported the edited XML file and voila!

Thanks for the suggestion on editing the Database Corey, but my way was sooooo much easier.
