Adobe CS3 Master Collection Updates Galore!

Adobe CS3 Master Collection Box

Adobe Master Collection CS3 although is the best software on the planet, in my opinion, but I have to say that I think it has the most updates I have ever seen! More than Windows Live Updates, can you believe it?

It seems that Adobe Master Collection CS3 has an update every time I open the applications. I’m all for keeping something up to date, but when you drop that amount of cash on a piece of software, I think it should be released in full working order and not need any fixes.

It’s like saying, “Ooops! I’m sorry, we gave you a defective product.”

The way it comes across to me is, that the software has become compromised. Unsafe or very unstable in some way that may make your PC blow up into small little pieces or something.

I know what you’re all thinking right now. I’m paranoid right?

Well yes I am. Is there some Adobe thing in the software that monitors your use and reports it to Adobe. Did this feedback software get compromised by hackers? What? Why all the updates!!??

I can only imagine it’s all to make the best software even better. But wouldn’t it be nice to see a full description of the actual updates? The CS3 package has it’s own update program. Why not update that program to include a full detail explanation of the update?

A simple, “Damn, we screwed up. We forgot to add the Super Duper, Filter to Adobe Photoshop CS3″ or, “Our update software is unsafe, here’s a security fix.”, or even, “This update will fix the annoying inability to use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out in Adobe Photoshop CS3″ (I really want the last one.)

I like the ability to receive an update, but when you see so many in a run of a week, it makes you wonder just how stable was the version you actually bought, and what others will get when they buy theirs when it’s updated on the printing press. Am I the guinea pig? Did I pay all that cash to be one just to have a lower priced updated version released months after the initial release?

Thats what gets me with software companies.

The way I see it. If I pay $400 for Windows Vista, and after 3 months there has been 1,689,956 updates and there is a service pack 45 I for 1. should get a refund from the origional price because people are getting a better product that you sold to me originally as being the best product and completely ready and fully usable! And 2. Send me a BRAND NEW COPY of the software at NO COST to me. You fucked up on selling me incomplete software, so as a customer, I should get what I payed for, not what you promised.

I bring Windowz into this post because the updates are unreal, and similar to Windblows. Not because they are the same, because they are DEFINITELY NOT! Just the updates have been lately.

By far and till this day I love my Adobe CS3 Master Collection and I have to admit that when I first heard that Macromedia was being bought out by Adobe, I thought the end of a great media. BOY! Was I wrong. I love what they did with integrating ALL the programs to work together.

If you’re a media person, then you will need to have the Adobe CS3 Master Collection in your possession! It’s the best by far.

But to run things to an end here. I suppose I should mention that since this is the first MAJOR pack that Adobe has put together with ALL Adobe and Past Macromedia best selling media software applications into one AWESOME box! There’s bound to be some software incompatibilities, so I suppose that’s why there is so many updates. They’re just probably trying harder to make them work together.

So I just hope CS4 is a FREE upgrade huh? (wishful thinking huh?)

I agree! I think, at times, they rush projects to be completed, and then you have all these updates. I don’t face that too much with the apps I use on my Mac. I’m not sure why that is, but I’m not complaining. I use Final Cut Express HD, and Aperture 1.5 almost daily then again those two products were made by Apple and not third party software.

HA! Mac Software repairs itself doesn’t it. :p

My last name is Mac. I can believe it.!!!!

Macs (and I’m not talking ONLY about myself) are the best Multi Media Computers on the market. PC’s are on their heels, but unfortunately MS makes HACKERS delight! So that slows them down.

I like MAC, but I also like Open Source. MAC will only allow MAC, unlike PC will allow anybody to LEARN. Unfortunately we have a few class clowns in the PC world. So we try to discipline, while others learn.

Ya can’t learn MAC programming, without a PC. :p

Hey John come up with a computer model that has every known software configuration, from every piece of software ever writeen or to be written, and make sure you do cross compatibility with all known hardware, and all hardware that is going to come out for the next 4 years. Then make sure it has everything shut down so there areent any vulnerabilities in the code whatsoever, then sell it to one of these big companies. I’m sure they’d be interested in the solution so they dont have to put patches and updates out.

while your at it, rent me that time machine for a day so i can get tonights super 7 numbers.

    no updates and patches. PULEASE!

Paula must have visited early. I was wondering what you were yapping about.

I use OpenOffice, Gimp, Adium, smcFanControl, and Nvu. Those are all Open Source. They even have a website that is called Open Source Mac http://www.opensourcemac.org/

I don’t use the above programs as much but I don’t have to update constantly.
