Friday, September 7, 2007 16:46 | 195 viewsWorking in a restaurant kitchen I know how important it is to have good foot wear. I know this because I didn’t at one time and ended up loosing a toenail because I was wearing the wrong shoes for standing on your feet for several hours at a time.
The work shoes that I have now are already starting to show the wear and tear from the walk to and from work and from the greasy floors at the restaurant kitchen.
I will never purchase any cheap discount work shoes, never! Trying to save a few bucks on discount shoes for working in a kitchen is as silly as using a rubber band as a bungee cord. You’re going to hurt yourself.
I have a nice pair of Safety Shoes that are non slip and I have to say are the best ones I have ever had and sure can put up with a beating.
Unlike the discount shoes you can get that just end up cracking open in the treading and cause you nothing but grief and pain, these Safety Shoes are very comfortable and cut down on the slipping and sliding on the oily floors in the kitchen.
Plus they are easy to purchase online if you’re lazy like me, and MetBoots.com has some very completive prices, and so far nobody else has been able to match or beat the prices.
I just thought I would share this post with you all because I was in the process of buying a pair of winter boots, and since I have already bought a few pairs from here already, I can vouch for their quality.
Plus this is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

Those really aren’t all that ugly for safety shoes. I’m impressed.
