Back To Normal. . . for now
Wednesday, November 1, 2006 0:20 | 153 viewsWell, all the Ghouls and Goblins have all went back to their crypts and crawled back under their gravestones. It seems that, with every passing year, there are fewer and fewer trick or treaters that scurry around outside knocking on door to door, giving the residents the option of being Tricked, or to give the tricksters a treat as a payoff not to get their homes TP'd and egged.
I can remember when I was a kid going Trick or Treating. I remember having to stand in lineups at each house because there were so many kids out on Halloween. I remember filling up a couple of them large pillow cases with junk food and it lasting about 6 or more months.
It's not the same these days. You'll be lucky to see a handful of kids come to your door now.
I live in a fairly large Town, and it's also a Military Town with hordes of kid. Either they go to the City or nobody trusts anybody anymore.
Parents must be to worried about sending their kids out these days. I can say I can't blame them with all the freaks that are around these days, excluding myself. I feel sorry for the kids that can't enjoy Halloween like I did back in the days.
Well the site is back to normal, now I need to get a Fall Theme done up maybe.

Yeah, we had no trick or treaters, and I only saw like two more besides us out in our community last night. Sure we are pretty rural, but where I grew up was rural too, and there was lots of trick or treaters out. At least on the paved roads.
