I mean it WOULD explain a LOT, but really, … do they?

“First cousin marriages constitute almost one third of all marriages in many Arab countries. The rates of these marriages differ between countries as well as within one country. Marriages between first cousins are favored culturally and socially and considered the “usual†or “expected†pathway in life for first cousins whether they were reared in close proximity or reared far apart.”

gfkas, that’s just … well… you know what they say about evolution.. inbreeding in a species will eventually cause it to dye off.

So, it just loses its color?

No, interbreeding causes the offspring to loose the essential immunities to new diseases. While others may get stronger from natural evolution and be able to survive any new viruses that may be introduced to their climate.
In-breeders don’t evolve, they come from the same gene pool, so nothing NEW gets introduced. Hence… they die. Sooner or later.
