Damn Hit N’ Run Cellphone Shopper!
Thursday, August 21, 2008 20:35 | 146 viewsWell I can say the same for people who talk on sell phones and push a overfilled shopping cart.
Today after I got off work, I went for a stroll through Odel Park here next door. When I got home I was a bit parched so I went next door to the grocery store to pick up some Pepsi. While I was walking down the isle some bitch yakking on her cell phone who was not paying any attention rams into me almost knocking me to my ass and just keeps on going.
Hey! Watch where you’re going!”, I said while having the cart still pushing me from behind as I looked over my shoulder.
“Excuse me.” was all she said while she took the moment to take notice.
There was another guy who saw this and said, “Fucking Bitch. Why don’t you turn that thing off before you run over some old lady or kid!” as he pulled his little girl out of the way.
It was at that moment that I noticed there were about a dozen other people all gawking at her and giving her the stink eye.
Some people just amaze me at how rude they can be.
It didn’t end there unfortunately. When I was standing in line to use one of the self-serve check outs, the lady that tried the hit-and-run just happen to be at the one I was waiting for. The bitch left her empty cart right in front of the check out. So I had to move it out of the area to use the damn thing.
If I were to look up the word, ‘Rude Bitch’, her picture would be right beside it. I’m sure it would be.

I’m really, really, starting to hate cell phones. I think they should only be used in nonmoving situations. People have no sense of social etiquette anymore. It’s really disgusting.

@teeni – There’s nothing wrong with cell phones, it’s the certain group of people that shouldn’t be allowed to have one.
They should make them go through something that is similar to a sobriety test before they can buy one. Walk and talk at the same time sort of deal huh?
@ChrisTheFeral – I can’t get a new one till January 2009. Hopefully the prices will have dropped or there’s some really great Wi-Fi phones available by then. Something with Skype preferably too. and a whopping 7MP camera.

I have noticed many rude people since moving into Fredericton. It amazes me! And the Superstore seems to attract many of them. I guess everyone is in such a rush. Though I admire the man for telling the woman to turn the phone off, I do not respect that he used such language and name calling with a child right there. It sets a very bad example. He could have done the same thing without the language. It would not surprise me if that is one of the reasons people were watching.
Hope you were not bruised. I was bruised by an elderly man pushing a cart into me last Christmas in the express lane at the Superstore in Oromocto. Believe me when I tell you I was polite when I asked him to back up and let me pay for my groceries. I really had to bite my tongue because I was in one foul mood because I had just learned I was going to be unemployed. So I could have reacted very strongly, but the lady I am…lol…chose to get out of the store before I did let loose…lol.

@Edna – I think he swore just out of surprise as his kid was close to getting run over also.
The others were actually staring at her though. It was obvious.

I certainly can understand his reaction. When in the moment anything can come out. When we back from Germany in 1986 for Christmas, Jeff was 3 1/2 years old and almost had his eye poked my a lit cigarette in the Canadian Tire store in Sussex. I yanked him out of the way in time. I spoke in anger to this woman who kept right on smoking and walking without even acknowledging I was speaking.

I have no use for a cell phone. I don’t even answer the land-line. Rather disapointed thou. I gave that lady a 30 minute calling card to run you down. If she hadn’t been on that damn cell phone. She would have had both hands on the cart and did the job right

@Edna – What a bitch.

Okay, you’re right – it’s not the cell phones – it’s the people who use them and I totally agree that they should have to have special training.
