DAMN! I just can’t seem to win!

No graphic for the post. I have nothing to work with.

My hard drive on my computer has just kicked the bucket. So I have had to resort to taking the old computer out of the closet and fire it up. Unfortunatrely it’s just a 600MHz POS and for some reason the sound card isn’t working.

I just have the bare essentials on it right now. Firefox for banking and Utorrent for TV show downloading.

I’ll have to work some over time to buy a new hard drive and somehow get the local computer shop to transfer all my shit from the broken one to the new one. Hopefully it’s not to expensive.

I would have had it all backed up yesterday when I noticed it actually going caput on me. But my DVD burner is dead also remember?

Seems this string of terrible luck is still going.

What does all this mean for the blog? Less posting because this POS is way to damn slow to do anything. Even typing this post is taking a long time.

I wish I could just reset my life and start over. I can’t take anymore of this shit.

Go to Thrift King for your new HD. It’ll be super cheap. You might be able to salvage some of your data by freezing your existing drive. It might run long enough to pull off what you need.

Sorry to hear. I know the feeling. My old hard disk with a lot of code libraries for my programming crashed and I was unable to recover them. It felt like shit.

@John Raul Joven II – I certainly feel like shit now. I’ll have to work some overtime to make some extra cash for a new drive.

@MrCorey@MrCorey – I went on TigerDirect’s web site and found a 300GB drive for under $70. I’ll order one from them next pay if I have enough.

I’ll try that freezing idea when I have the things installed.

I just wish I could copy an image from the fubar one and transfer it to the new one.

why would you buy a 30 GB from tiger direct for 70 when you can get a 320 GB from thrift king for 75 bucks. and he is right downtown?

Anyways, yeah i deal with crashed hard drives every so often here at work.

    @Uhh Yeah – 30GB, wha-da-ya mean 30GB? :-Wi

So will the freezing idea work? If I stuck the crashed one in the freezer overnight and them put it back in, do you think it will copy my shit to the newer HD?

Maybe I should get you to pop in here and help me out when I buy a new one. Just let me know how much you would want.

@Uhh Yeah – I would like to go back in time to the time we all used to hang out at your place.

    Those were Good Times!

But my luck would end up with all this bullshit happening over and over again. So that would be out of the question.
