Even though it doesn’t seem like it now, summer is just around the corner, and if you were in my neck of the woods, you also might remember how high the humidity got.   • Musty smells can develop, and eventually mold, mildew and fungus will appear. These can be damaging to your health.

Purchasing a whole house dehumidifier will help. I could actually use a small portable one myself since I live in an apartment. And if you have a basement you might want to consider on for that part of your home also.

The recommended indoor humidity level is between 40% and 50%. Dehumidifiers can help to keep your home within those levels, but there are many different types available, and lots of features to choose from.
