Well, I guess I didn’t nail that interview as well as I thought I did. I didn’t get the job role that I applied for.
Apparently some who have had previous experience in the QA role got the job instead of me.
One person I know will actually do a good job and be very positive in their feedback, but the other person who got the role, I am not looking forward to seeing them do the job. This person was constantly asking questions along the lines of disciplinary measures throughout the training and was so focused on that rather than being productive and positive. Already their ears are catching on all the door frames in the building.
There’s nothing that I hate worst than a person in a position that they let go to their head and have a power complex. I can actually foresee me butting heads with this individual.
The role of Team Lead went to a person that has really stepped up to the position and is doing very well so far. Although I didn’t get the role, I’m glad to see somebody that takes the position in a positive way, and it’s a good thing that he isn’t on a power high either.
I was told that I could shadow on my own time to be able to possibly get into the role in the future should the position become available again. I’m not sure I want to spend my spare time at work, it’s not like I have a whole lot of it to begin with.
They’re still looking to fill one more position, but I didn’t apply for it because its something I want no part of. But out of the three they did move up, only one of them I have a bad feeling about.
Well there ya have it. Just in case you were all wondering what the deal was.
