Does Google Skim The Pot?

So I was checking the one of many site analyzers to see who’s doing what on my site, and seeing what links are popular on my site. You know, the basic webmaster stuff.

When I got to MyBlogLog I noticed something off. This site tells you what links were clicked and from what page. The thing that stood out the most after I checked my ( 1 ) Google AdSense Log, I noticed a discrepancy between the two stats.( 2 ) MyBlogLog showed 16 clicks on the Top Banner (one on the link ads). And it even shows ( 3 ) what page the banner was clicked on.

Google Click Log

WTF? What’s up with that? Does anybody out there know why there are 12 clicks missing from the Google AdSense logs from yesterday? Are they skimming the pot? Are they secretly trying to keep the payout at a minimum? I’m a bit curious! No, a LOT curious! WTF?

If some AdSense Guru out there has an idea as to why the two stats are do different, please let me know. If I can have a reasonable explanation, then I won’t have to go threw trying to get an answer through AdSense.

Inquiring minds want to know!
