This could have also been called Quake or Unreal because it has that same muntant monster villin type characters. You could almost throw in Resident Evil too because of the theme of the story. Genetic experiments gone wrong.
But they had to call it something, so I guess Doom would have to do.

Based on the hit computer game about Marines sent to investigate what went wrong on a space station, only to face a far greater evil unlike any other.

Something has gone wrong at a remote scientific research station on Mars. All research has ceased. Communication has failed. And the messages that do get through are less than comforting. It’s a level 5 quarantine and the only souls allowed in or out are the Rapid Response Tactical Squad – hardened Space Marines armed to the teeth with enough firepower to neutralize the enemy… or so they think.

The last 20 minutes of this movie are freeking awsome! This is a first, I think, for a first person movie. There were only 5 or so minutes of the first person view, but it was an awsome 5 minutes worth. The Sarg (The Rock) goes toe to toe with (I think I got the names right) John Grimm (Karl Urban) for a pretty wicked combat fight near the end also.

I can highly recommend this movie to satisfy that blood lust if you have any. Just make sure the kiddies are tucked far away so they can’t hear the movie if you rent this when it comes out on DVD, because they’ll shit themselves from fear.
Now go see the movie… go on… what are you waiting for. You have to go now.
