Driver Updates – I Must Haz Dem

I’m not talking about the video game Driver either. Although that is a very fun game to play, but at the moment I’m not able to be playing games because I’m busy with trying to get this old computer working so it is at least half tolerable.

It’s an old computer and like I have said in many past posts, it is very slow and I can’t operate or even use my current software, like Photoshop for example.

I need money to purchase a new hard drive and until I can afford it, I’ll have to make do with what I have at the moment.

That said, I was trying to print out my resume and for the life of me I couldn’t get the damn printer to print. I tried to install the Printer software, but this old computer doesn’t have a DVD ROM drive. So, I have no way to install the darn Drivers !

Thankfully there is a site to download the latest and up to date Drivers through their free access to their Driver database.

Now that I got my Lexmark Drivers installed I got my resume all printed out. Now if I can just find an employer to take it and hire me.

While I’m on the topic of drivers and the fact I can’t install any that are on DVD’s, I’m brought to another scenario involving my D-Link Drivers. I have been running my web cam for awhile now not realizing that the IP’s in the Port Forwarding section on the setup screen are not correct. I was trying to update it to the right IP addresses, but the damn thing wouldn’t save the changes. I thought that updating the drivers would solve that, but it didn’t.

Does anybody out there know why my D-Link router won’t save the settings after I change them and reboot the router? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
