Finally! A Job Interview!

I was starting to get worried if I would ever get a job interview at all. I have been sending out Resumes left, right, and center and I haven’t heard back from any of them at all. Not even a PFO Letter.
I’m not getting my hopes up, because it is afterall, just a Job Interview, and I am competing against about a billion others. Not for one opening mind you, but 150 openings for a Call Center job.
When they called me today, I asked the big question and that was, “Is it a Sales Driven Service?” She said no because it’s a Client that’s here in New Brunswick, that is very strict on how they do business. It’ll be for a Cell Phone service and it’s strictly Customer Service. So tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be gone for the day.
She told me that it will be inbound and it will involve helping people with their Cell Phone questions (Like you would call if you have an issue with your cell phone) and handeling Billing questions or issues. Although I have been lied to before about a company not being sales driven, I have the feeling that tis time I was being told the truth, since I’ve called into a couple of Customer Service centers involving different Cell Phone Cariers here in NB, and I’ve never had to deal with sales pitches.
BUT! If it does turn into that sort of shit like I had dealt with in the past, I will be getting the hell out ASAP. I will never do that bullshit again. Because the last time I was told to jam shit down customers throats, I nearly went into a nervious breakdown and had to have my Doctor put me on Stress leave for a month and a half.
The only problem is that it is on the North Side of town and it’s a long way away from here, so Cab fairs might eat away into my budget and I’m stuck in a Year least on this place till next summer. Another thing I’m not looking forward to is the Training Wages are frightning! 15 days training at $7.50/hour, and then 5 days after training it will be just $9/hour and then after that it goes up to $11/hour.
That $7.50/hour would cover CAB trips.
Why the hell can’t I just win the lottery?

@MrCorey – I was hoping for something a lot closer though.
BTW, it’s Mac. Not Chuck.

Good lack,Mac? Don’t sound right. You should check out the transit schedules over the next while. They’re redesigning the North Side routes so that there ARE SOME.

@MrCorey – Either does Good Lack, Mac.
I was thinking about the bus also. I’ve never taken the transit here. DO you need exact change or anything? I know you can get bus passes, but what If I just have cash. Does the driver make change?

You need exact change. It’ll be easier if you get a rider card, though. Once you get used to the schedule, you’ll be rockin’. Sometimes it’ll end up being faster than using a cab.
