I guess you could call this the first storm of the season. It really dumped a bit of snow too. HUGE snowflakes as it warmed up to make way for a lot of freezing rain.

Several hours of freezing rain are expected later this afternoon and this evening. This is a warning that an extended period of freezing rain is expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A low pressure system will push a warm front over New Brunswick today and bring a mixture of precipitation. Snow ahead of this system has begun and will continue into the afternoon. As the warm front approaches the snow will change to ice pellets and then to freezing rain. Freezing rain will persist for several hours over central and northern portions of the province. The precipitation will change over to rain as temperatures rise above the freezing mark tonight. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres are expected in the south by Tuesday morning with locally higher amounts possible.
I’d say that’s pretty messy wouldn’t you?
