I’m still using Thoof’s personalized news service to read up on what is the latest buzz on the wire.

I have submitted a few posts to Thoof also and have seen a swarm of traffic come through from there too. It’s a great personalized news service that is tailored to your preferences and can generate some more traffic to your site also.

When I submit a post to Thoof I also get a snippet of code that I can add to the post that will indicate just how popular the post is. If it goes over 50% that means they really like you and you have got yourself an audience.

The rank usually take a couple of hours to gain the higher numbers so if you don’t see any results, rank might be something of the smelly kind, and in that case, that’s not the rank you want.

The personalized news service is a great place to keep up with the goings ons on the web. You can usually find some interesting articles and blogs through Thoof and the articles are posted by bloggers just like you and I.

Thoof is actually a strange name isn’t it? I can picture a bunch of Drunken IT guys discussing this great new idea that they have that will allow readers to to be up to date with their very own personalized news. If you know an IT person, then you know they like their drink on.

I can picture them at a table going over these great ideas, simply because we all know a few drinks in ya’ and you’re a bloody replicated Einstein reincarnation, and you are the god of all knowing knowledge.

Voices loud, hand and fists banging on the table followed by abrupt and loud laughter and cackling.

Then when all the drunken IT people are all brainstorming and agreeing with this great idea, somebody speaks up and says, “Naw. There’s no way you can do it.” And it’s followed by a,”OH Yea? I bet you we can do it!”

Then another drunken IT person speaks up and says, “If you fink you can dew it, then give us sum Thoof then.”

And I guess they got their Thoof and the name stuck.
