Going Chrome

chromecolour3Google Chrome that is.

Seems that my usual browser, FireFox, is a huge clunker when trying to use it on this old piece of crap computer. It was getting very painfully slow to write any posts on this blog. The AJAX seems to really bog the FireFox browser down to the point of almost completely halting any action at all.

I’ve been using Chrome for awhile off and on when my main computer was up and running. I just had a hard time letting go of FireFox I suppose. But now that I have no choice in the matter, Chrome is actually growing on me. It’s not a bad browser at all really. It’s actually quite fast.

The Chrome browser has only barfed up a web page on me once, and that’s the MSN TV Guide web site. It freezes whenever I visit it.  So I guess I’ll have to endure a slow page load with Firefox to view my TV Guide.

I still cant do anything fun online since any flash media really grinds away and barly runs at all.

All I can say is I really can’t wait till I get a replacement Hard Drive and get all my crap back so I can get back to the fun stuff again.

Yes, I love Chrome with its speed. I even love its Incognito Mode for — you know :p

Here’s my post related to Chrome:

@John Raul Joven II – I actually like it. I can almost say it’s better than FireFox. It’s not so clunky, but will it eventually become clunky too, like FireFox did? I don’t use the Incognito Mode, If I want to look at some boobies, I don’t have to hide that I was looking at Boobies. I live alone, remember? :P

I feel like the only one using Chrome sometimes, but I’m actually very fond of it. It’s sheer speed alone is remarkable.

@Donna – The speed is an eye opener indeed.

I will wait until Microsoft’s operating system is not the only one it works on.

@MrCorey – Well that sucks don’t it. I didn’t know. It’s actually very impressive, and I bet you actually have it on your other Windowz OS anyway. You’re just to ashamed to admit to it. :P

I played around with Googles Browser on my wifes computer and actually liked it. I use a MAC mostly and as far as I know there is no MAC version yet. When there is, I will be all over it.

Bah! I can’t afford to buy a Windows licence and don’t really need to, since my computer has an operating system on it. I did try the alpha for Windows emulated through W.I.N.E., but it was crap. I’ll wait for Google to do it themselves, like they did with Picasa.

@MrCorey – I probably won’t be long till they have this working across all the platforms.
