Google Has Their Heads Up Their Asses Again!

I just happen to check my Page Rank just to see if it has changed any or not and to my surprise it has dropped again! WTF?
The worst part about the whole Page Rank is that not only did www.macbrosplace.com drop, but www.macsopinion.com actually went up to 4! And that fucking site doesn’t even exist any more, it’s actually redirected to this site now.
www.macbrosreviews.com which is also redirected to this site now also got a higher page rank. It went from 0 to 2 and it doesn’t even exist.
So macbrosplace.com goes from PR 3 to 2, macbrosreviews.com goes from PR0 to 2, and macsopinion.com goes from PR2 to 4!!!
- www.macbrosplace.com has PR2
- (doesn’t exist) www.macsopinion.com has PR4
- (doesn’t exist) www.macbrosreviews.com PR2
This is a prime example of just how imprecise this whole Google Page Rank thing is and that everybody seems to think that is accuracy determines a web sites popularity. If this is in fact the case, people sure seem to find dead web sites interesting then.
Googles Page Rank is so fucked up and this is proof. Who would have thunk it that my old NON existent web site would become so popular?
Hey Google! I have an imaginary website that has thousands of imaginary links to it and thousands of imaginary people that flock to it. Would you like to buy it for a few million? I bet you’ll give it a PR of something like 10.
Fuck Google and it’s Page Ranking system. It’s a flawed piece of shit and that is my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

Relax, John. It’s just an algorithm. We all know PR is flawed and that’s why any good SEO will tell you to ignore it. Work on things that increase traffic, not PR, because PR will disappoint you every time.

I don’t think PR has anything to do with the actual website’s existence. It depends on the existence of the URL (even if it redirects to another URL, but it should be valid) and the number of back links to that URL.
Might be that there are still lot of back links pointing to the old domain name.

@RT Cunningham – It makes a difference when the review I write determines the $$$ I receive. For some reason the advertisers don’t seem to understand that PR means jack shit these days and they should be more focused on Traffic.

@hari – it can’t have that many links because it’s live was short lived and my main site is actually severals years older too.

@macbros – the review I write determines the $$$ I receive. Your PR couldn’t have dropped because you’re writing paid reviews, could it?
PR sucks. rel-”nofollow” some links and apply for reconsideration in Webmaster tools. They’ll bump it back up.

@Observer – All the paid links are actually no-follow already.
