Fairy Tale Endings Aren’t What They Used To Be
Happily N’Ever After is another one of my favorite type of movies. Computer animated type that is.
Just like pretty much any other CGI type movie, you can expect to have a few laughs. What can you expect from the Producers of SHREK and SHREK 2?
Oddly enough, the movie was very similar to SHREK and SHREK 2. You get your dose of fairy tale characters, but you get the stories in a way it would be if the bad guys were the winners from the stories. You get a glimpse of what it would be like if the good guy never won, and only the bad guy wins.
This all takes place when the stepmother from the Cinderella story over hears the story book wizard’s assistants talk about the magic staff and how it all works, and how the fairy tale land residents all have a destiny and how only the good guys win because of the balance between the good and the bad.
An alliance of evil-doers, led by Frieda (Weaver), looks to take over Fairy Tale Land. But when Ella (Gellar) realizes her stepmother is out to ruin her storybook existence, she takes a dramatic turn and blossoms into the leader of the resistance effort
The movie was alright, and I had a few good laughs from it. As I usually do. It must be the zany humor these CGI Movies people have, and that I can relate.
So if you’re wondering what to watch some evening with the family, you should pick this one up if you get the chance. You’ll like it as much as the kids, if you have any. If you don’t have kids, go rent some if you feel like it would be weird sitting there watching this movie alone. Even though I think it would be weird if you actually rented some kids to watch this.
But this is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
