Heavy Snowfall Warning

People are probably shoveling away today to make room for another 25 centimeters of the crap that’s expected by the end of Saturday night.
I saw the city workers out in full force trying to truck the shit out of town so that way they have room to put the newly fallen crap.
I’m referring to snow by the way, but just calling it snow makes it sound pretty to some folks and it’s not at all pretty when you have to live in the middle of it all, especially when it seems to never stop falling from the skies this season. In my opinion, it’s not looking pretty to the folks here in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Corey has a few pictures in one of his posts of the shit piling up in the streets and outside his window.
The roads will be slick tonight, so hopefully something good will come out of this by making it really slow at work and just maybe I’ll get to come home early. I just hope the snowplows take their time cleaning up the place making it too hard for the bar folk to make it to the restaurant, but chances are, they’ll find a way. But I can dream can’t I? ![]()
I’ve been thinking about taking a stroll around the streets on Sunday to take some pictures, but if it’s too damn cold, I’ll probably lock myself in, but if it isn’t I will, and I’ll have my nephew with me, so hopefully he’ll provide some good photo opportunities.
To be honest, I haven’t seen this much snow in so long, it reminds me of the times when I used to live in Chatham NB, and as a kid it was awesome playing in the 10 feet of snow. But I’m (physically) not a kid anymore and I really don’t care much for the crap anymore. I think we’ve had enough snow for this season. I really, really do.

We’re getting pelted with the stuff here in New England today also. Another ten inches expected. I don’t know where we are going to put it all.

We got around 10-12 inches, and the DoT ran out of salt halfway through the storm. They basically said “sorry, but drive more carefully, we have to use less salt and more sand”.
How Syracuse, the city that was built from salt revenue, can run out of salt is beyond me.

I guess that we’re going to be getting that tonight, as there hasn’t been much today so far – maybe 3 inches.
