This would be considered a spoiler clip, but it’s just a part of how great it really is. Watch it if you don’t mind a bit of a spoiler.
How To Train Your Dragon is a movie everybody must see. Even if you’re not into the whole CGI animated movie genre. The story is something that everybody should be subject to. It’s a life lesson. Well not a lesson on how to train a dragon, but the moral of the story is something everybody should experience in real life.
A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.
As always, these movies are my favorite genre of movie format. I’m a geek when it comes to CGI animations. The visual effects were awesome as you would or should expect from today’s modern CGI Animations.
The clip I presented here is one of my favorite scenes. The expressions the animators put into this scene are extraordinaire! The Dragon doesn’t even have to say words, but you can tell what he means just by the expressions. Plus the facial expressions on Hiccup (Jay Baruchel – He’s Canadian and from Ottawa, Ontario BTW!) say just as much to you visually as they do vocally.
This movie is for all ages. Take the kids to see it or rent it depending when you are actually reading this post. It is worth a Family night out or in, as both adults and children will enjoy this movie till the end. If you don’t have a family and are shut in your cave like I am, it a great movie for you even.
This is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
