Although I agree with your comments. But this was more to the point of MADD sticking their noses into places it shouldn’t.

Keep kids safe, but don’t take the fun out of their life.

The way to send the right message to kids is to hang drunk drivers by their thumbs (or perhaps other *cough* more personal parts) in the public square with an invitation to the public to pelt them with dung, rotten veggies, etc.

Of course, drunk drivers who kill someone should have their life earnings confiscated (essentially made into slave labor) and be worked to death… or simply placed in an open field with about 50 well-trained, professional drivers (executioners) in cars who’ve been told to sloooowwwly kill him with the cars… Could be a tough job, but I’d not mind auditioning for a hand at the wheel.

If the penalties for driving drunk–particularly for harming persons or property (property is just man-hours of folks’ lives, you know) while driving drunk–were seriously harsh AND seriously PUBLIC, MADD would get better results in drunk driing abatement than with this kind of nannystate ~~shit~~, urm, “stuff”. *heh*
