MacBros' Place

All day long I’ve been trying to do the whole ‘mind over matter’ thing but as the day went on, the worst I felt and in the end, it was all futile.

I ache all over, I have a fever, my throat is sore, and my chest is congested.

Yup, I have the flu.

All week at work there were people sick and coughing all over the place. Some trying to be hygienic and others not.

I believed I emptied the hand sanitizer on the wall beside the desk I usually sit by, plus I went through two small bottles of anti-bacterial hand wash. I would also wipe the stuff on my workstation, mouse, and keyboard.

I tried to keep my distance from all of the infected, but I eventually succumbed to the bug that was making it’s way through the production floor.

I am sick, and from the way I’m feeling at the moment, I don’t think I’ll be going into work in the morning. 

My throat is literally stripped and raw as if I had a wire brush scrubbing  the inside of it. Then there is the body pains and aches that feel like I have just had the shit kicked out of me, or as Dragon Lady would say, “I feel like hammered poo.” I’m burning up with a fever and feel like shit.

I hope I wake up and it’s gone, but that’s probably not really going to happen.
