TV CANADIAN IDOL
I just read this news article on Yahoo.
Not that I’ll actually miss the show, I only like the auditions because their so funny, and sometime I’ll follow it if there is some real talent and voters use their ears to vote and not use their popularity voting ways.
I just don’t follow their logic on canning the show for a season.
The program hosted by Ben Mulroney finished its sixth season this fall and remained a Canadian TV ratings monster, scoring an average of 1.47 million viewers in September. However, it appears CTV has elected to not produce the costly reality show in a year when advertising revenues are expected to drop sharply.
You would think that if the show draws in the most viewers, then advertisers would WANT to pay for ads on that show and not waste their money on shows with less viewers.
Kinda makes you wonder how these big network big wigs get to their positions thinking like this.
I may be wrong, but this is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

I couldn’t even get through the auditions for AI last year.
