All I said was Bomb..
You know the old saying, “If it looks and talks like a duck, then it’s a duck. ” right. Well I feel that this is a prime example of it in a similar way.
I know that racial profiling isn’t a nice thing to do,but if it actually saves lives and offends a group of people, then I say, “Suck it up!”
If it was a mistake, then let the people make a personal apology. The need to go on national television and announce to the world that you were singled out simply because that you fit into a category of people that are known to like to blow the shit out of things is un-necessary. The comment they made about the airline blowing it out of proportion really got me thinking of just how they are doing the same by going on national television to whine about being booted off the plane for having a conversation everybody and their dog knows that you shouldn’t be having on an airplane. The news video had one of the family members quoting what she said, “That is the best place to sit on an airplane, when a bomb goes off.” and several eyewitnesses confirmed what was said.
A Muslim family that was ordered off an AirTran Airways flight on New Year’s Day received an apology and refund on Friday from the airline, which said its decision to bar the passengers was necessary.
I’m sure if it were any other person that wasn’t a Muslim they would have received the boot also. You just don’t talk about bombs while your boarding an airplane. It is just plain fucking common sense!
The fact that your ARE Muslim also would get me wondering also, because like I said before, “Some of your people are known for liking to blow the shit out of things and killing people.”
Yes, it’s unfortunate. But it’s the world we live in that makes people a little more on edge and if it means offending somebody, and saving a lot of lives from a potential tragedy, then so be it.
I know if I had my ass dragged into a police lineup because I wear a goatee, I would understand that somebody wearing a goatee was going to get some metal bracelets for some reason, but I have no reason to worry, because I didn’t do anything wrong. I was profiled, I helped catch a criminal, I was detained and it would have been an inconvenience, but I would still get over it.
This is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
Did you actually READ the article you quoted? If you had, you wouldn’t have even written this racist post. The article stated clearly what was said and what wasn’t. Try a simple search for something like “Muslim family plane” and you will find many top news sites that spew just about the same words, and all of them state that the family just wants to move on, but would like an apology from the racist airline that won’t let them fly on it. The US government’s FBI agency doesn’t feel that there was anything wrong with what was said and they, apparently.were careful to NOT say words like “bomb”, which the article you quoted shows
“they were being careful to avoid any “buzzwords” like “bomb” that would trigger a security alert”
The family even stated that they were impressed with the professionalism of the FBI.

@MrCorey – Actually I watched the news video and that article is not the same as the video.
The video has her actually saying, “This is the best place, on the plane, to sit when a bomb goes off.”
I’m not sure, but that link is not the same news article that I originally posted to. So it’s obvious they changed it to stay under the radar.
I still believe what I saw with my own eyes what I saw and heard on the video, that news article had actually been changed.
I don’t believe this is a racist post, I saw and heard one of the family members say what they said. My point was that if you say what they said, regardless of their culture or faith, you’re going to get the best rectal treatment the airlines have to offer. The fact that they are Muslim just turns on peoples radars and heightens them when they drop the ‘bomb’ word on an airplane.
Muslim people should know better than to say Bomb in an airport or in an airplane, just like white people know it’s a bad thing to say the ‘N’ word in a group of black people.
The fact they changed the news article to them saying they TRIED to avoid saying bomb words, is bullshit. I watched the girl quote what she said on Television. Yahoo is just covering up their asses, and changed from their original article.
@MrCorey – LOL! I was going to get the link to the video, but it too is now gone. DAMN! I knew I should have copied it. The only video I can find has the part where the girl in the red headdress quotes herself cut out and added some guy saying he avoided saying buzz words. WTF? The whole story is changed.
All I can say, is I saw and heard what I did. Unfortunately, I don’t have that video, and I should have copied it.
Note to self…. copy controversial videos, they won’t stay long.
I don’t rely on Yahoo news as my only source, just as I REALLY don’t rely on FOX or CNN, because they have a slant. Yahoo just aggregates what they want to to get people to read it.

Don’t worry. This will change. I’ve not heard anyone of German descent being referred to as a NAZI for a long time, so wounds and ignorance can heal over time.
