Is Spring Finally Here For Real?

I don’t want to jump the gun, but I think it is finally starting to look like Spring again. Not just a preview of the weather, but it’s here to stay I hope. Although the weather here can change to be the complete opposite in just a day here, like it already has, teasing us by giving us a taste only to take it away.
The snow is melting away really fast actually. The once 7+ foot tall snowbanks are now just under a foot now. Some completely gone altogether. The largest snowbanks left are the ones the snow removal guys made by dumping and plowing into huge piles during the winter months.
I took a little video while I was walking into work the other day. It shows just how much the snow has melted away. Yes it was hard to walk the path out behind my place and that is why the video is shaky in the beginning, the snow was loose and awkward to walk on while trying to avoid stepping in the dog shit that pet owners didn’t pick up. (You know who you are you bastards!).
The Other Mac sent some pictures of what he had to do at his job. You can see just how much of that white crap we had this winter and what they had to remove from the Greens at the Golf Course here in Fredericton. Both he and his co-worker had their jobs cut out for them. (Click on images for full sizes)
At least, for now, it looks like plenty of mowing days are ahead.
I really hate snow. It blocks off all the shortcuts I take to get to work and back, hopefully the muddy part of Spring passes by quickly. Yup, the wet part of the season that brings you that nice fresh dog shit smell in the air.

Wow – that’s a lot of snow! Okay, you beat us for snow accumulation. But you usually do every year anyway. LOL

That’s in April too though. Some has melted by that time.

SNOW!!! I haven’t seen snow (that deep) in years and years. How cool is that?! That pile behind you in the photos brings out the the smash and destroyer in me…LOL!!

But, seriously, its great to see some warm weather and bare ground in a few places. Really nice! Broad St. isn’t so narrow any more. LOL

gotta love those people that let thier dog shit all over public walking trails and not clean it up. should be officers out patrolling giving out 200 dollar fines. couple of those, and they’d stoop and scoop.
Bastards do that, and there are kids that play on those paths.

@Uhh Yeah – I agree with you. Why do people have dogs (or pets) for that matter if they don’t want to pick up after or take care of them. All the dog owners need to do is carry a couple plastic grocery bags and pick up their dog’s poop.
I see poop on along the sidewalk where I sometimes jog, right next to the graphic signs that says no pet dumping. Makes me want to be like Jim Carey and take a dump on their yard and see how they like it.

Thought I looked like I was peeing.. Sorta right I really thought about it, But the angle was not right. I’m a straight down writing name in snow guy. Even thou the wall was inticing . Run down would have disfigered the work.
