It’s Allergy Season – YAY!

I was out running some errands today before work and on my way back home there was a short time when the wind kicked up and started blowing all the dust and crap around, and then everything went calm again. It was really strange.

I guess all the dust also contained all the pollen and other allergy related crap that gathered up over the season and dried out in the sun today.

After a few minutes at home, my eyes started to itch and I started sneezing like crazy. My sinuses started to feel like a dagger being stabbed into my face.

After about an hour of snot blowing and eyeball itching, my eyes started to puff up like golf balls and the only thing that felt comfortable and tolerable was when I just closed my eyes. Even the light started to get to the point of irritating them.

Yup, it’s that time. All the old pollen and dust left over from the winter has finally dried up and is being blown around. At least that’s the only thing that I can think of as to why my allergies have kicked in full force.

I waited up until it was about an hour or so before I had  to go into work, but there was no end in sight of this agony and sinus pain. I grabbed my cell phone and squinted at the thing while I was trying to punch in the numbers to call work to let them know that I’ll be out of commission tonight.

All I did was lay on the Futon and listen to music. I didn’t want to tried not to sleep, but I dozed off a couple of times. I wanted to keep awake because I didn’t want to be screwing up my sleep patterns and then end up finding myself getting tired at work.

So here it is now about five hours later… Still a bit itchy in the eyes, but the sinus pain is gone. Just going to write this post and take a draft post out of the bin and then go check out what every body else is doing.

I hate allergies…especially during the next couple of months.

However, the doctor that did the test was not very clear on what we should do about her allergies. Further more, I had told them when I made the appointment that I was concerned about her haveing a latex allergy and when we got there I …It?s Allergy Season – YAY!I was out running some errands today before work and on my way back home there was a short time when the wind kicked up and started blowing all the dust and crap around, and then everything went calm again. Yikes. I feel bad for you for the allergies. I don’t have any myself but my sister and sister in law do. It must really stink. This is such a terrible time of year for allergy sufferers and that is sad because it really is such a beautiful time of year. Hope you are coping okay.

I was feeling better but it’s back to what it was yesterday.

It seems that when I’m sleeping or resting it gets better, but as soon as I get up and am active, it flares up again.

Called work again. DAMN! I can’t afford this! :-l

Jamie’s eye swelled up something fierce yesterday from allergies. Still swelled today but not as angry looking.

Tell Jamie that I can relate. My eye swelled up like two golf balls and didn’t actually start to go away until early this morning.

For the past two days I was constantly peeking out to see if the light was bugging me still, but ended up having to cover my eyes. no-see
