It’s Hammock Season!
Wednesday, May 30, 2007 20:30 | 209 viewsI know I come off as being a lazy indoor kind of guy, although that is sort of mostly true, fact is, I really like to relax out doors too.
You get me into a Hammock any day and I’ll be and comfy as a bug in a rug. In fact, I remember actually having one at my parent’s place that I tied off between a pine tree and the shed and I would lie out in that thing for hours when the weather was fine.
The good thing about portable hammocks is that you can take them where ever you go. I took mine with me on camping trips. To lie in one by the campfire and a nice cold beer in one hand was very relaxing. My friends would get jealous at me because they were sitting on a log while I was all comfy in my Hammock.

I prefer the net style ones that don’t have any rods in either end, and I would always get a good laugh when friends would try and get into it and flip around and land on their butt.

I haven’t met a hammock yet that I didn’t like. We used to have a couple of really cheap ones that you tie up between a couple of trees. Worked out really well when we did that float trip down the Illinois River death trap in Eastern Oklahoma in ‘95. We used them on the shore of course.
