Job Hunting

I’ve bee scouring through the job bank desperately looking for better job opportunities that I can apply for. There isn’t really a whole lot to choose from. There are a lot of call center jobs, but I am really trying to get away from that line of work, it might pay OK, but the job itself and the hours are terrible. There are a lot of cooking jobs also, and I vowed a long time ago that I would never do that shit again, since the hours and job sucks too.
There were a couple of job postings that were out there, but I went out on a limb and applied anyway.
There was one that was looking for a Building Maintenance Worker for a Motel that was full time and days. The hours were what drew me to it, and the job tasks didn’t seem to be all that difficult since I have some previous experience doing some of the things they described, I sent them my resume.
I applied for a Shipping Agent position for some Biological Monitoring company that has an opening for a permanent full time position during the days. Again, the hours looked good and it is something I’m familiar with from my time placing orders for the restaurant I work at. It involves 20Lb lifting and packing, and opening stuff. placing orders, shipping stuff. I can do that.
The job that I really want though, is the Digital Graphic Design Technician position that is permanent full time and days. Everything about the job is something that interests me a great deal. I’ve heard so many comments from readers and friends that I should be doing something like this for a living. When I saw the job posting, I jumped right at it. I had to include some examples of my stuff, so I added about a dozen or so of my favorite Photoshop images from my gallery. I added a description and chose the most tasteful ones, and added that they would need to have a sense of humor if they viewed the rest of the gallery.
I really hope I get a chance to work as their Digital Graphic Design Tech, that would be the right job for me. It’s something that would allow my creativity to come out, show off my talent, and do something that I truly enjoy.
I should have left a link to this site as a referance for they could view a post with all of you recommending me for the job. I wonder how that would have gone over? ![]()
I’m not getting my hopes up though. Because I’m sure there is somebody else who has some BS Degree that looks all great on paper, but doesn’t have an ounce of creativity will get the job. It always seems to happen that way.
I just want something that has good hours and pays well. Anything but this call center bull shit.
Wish me luck anyway…..
I still hate my job.

Good luck anyway…
BTW, you might get a call from a call center…

@MrCorey – You say that I might get a call as if you might have some inside information.

you could get a job examining breast implants and would complain that the titties werent natural.
face it John, you’ll never be happy in any job

@Uhh Yeah – I actually kind of did that already.

It was an alright job, but the 90 year old ones made me very ill.
It’s not true that I’ll never be happy. I had a job at the Victoria Health Center that I really enjoyed, but they let me go because I didn’t have a bible shoved up my non existent vagina, and sing gospel songs.
I just find that I end up working jobs that I hate because the ones I want aren’t available.
If I got that Digital Graphics job, I would be happier than a pig in shit.
