Lesbian Vampire Killers

No they aren’t lesbians killing vampires, but vampires that are lesbians. If you’re into that knee slapping type slapstick comedy, then Lesbian Vampire Killers is sure to get a few laughs out of you
This movie kind of reminds me of the movie Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. It’s has the same type of comedy and storyline to it.
For some reason, I find myself drawn to the British version of horror comedies.
Their women having been enslaved by the local pack of lesbian vampires thanks to an ancient curse, the remaining menfolk of a rural town send two hapless young lads out onto the moors as a sacrifice.
OK, before you start rolling your eyes and making comments that I’m a pervert, thanks for the comments BTW, but this isn’t a porno and a nude fest of naked women, . . . Unfortunately. It’s actually a very funny comedy where some vampires, who just so happens to be a lesbian vampire, curses a town and the curse causes every female that becomes the age of 18 to turn into a lesbian vampire.
Little do two best friends who decide to take a break from the rest of the world’s rat race and think a hiking trip will help them feel like they have accomplished something actually accomplish something epic!
This is nothing like your traditional vampire movie. In fact, I don’t believe there has ever been a vampire movie quite like this one. It’s original in it’s own way. Funny as hell and a hell of a laugh.
It would be unfair to say that the acting was bad as you would expect from most ‘B’ movies, but the actors in this flick pull it off and make it more than a ‘B’ movie. Heck, It was actually good enough to say it wasn’t a ‘B’ movie.
Now I’m not familiar with the UK actors, but I bet these folk can walk proud along side of Simon Pegg or Martin Freeman. Some may disagree, but this is just my opinion and you’re entitled to it.
Are you in for a good laugh? Then check out this title if ya’ get the chance. You’ll be glad you did..

thanks for the heads-up — lesbians+vampires=probably a good waste of 90 minutes of my time. Have downloaded a copy as I couldn’t find it playing anywhere in a movie theatre here in Vancouver…

@Larry – It probably wont be in North America yet anyway. It’s a UK film. It was actually very funny. The Title is a little misleading. Sure the vampires are lesbians, but there really isn’t any lesbian on lesbian action a guy like me would expect.

Dunno about this. Lesbians – potentially good. Vampires – potentially bad. Killers – frequently bad (depending on who they’re killing). But then, my curiosity might get the best of me on this one.

I got a good review of this from a friend too. Hot Fuzz is another good one with Simon in it.

@Chris@Maugeritaville – It got the best of me.
@theenglishguy – When I first saw the trailer, I knew it was going to be good. There are some UK Films that I end up really enjoying.

Watched the flick last night. Poor Fletch — all he wanted to do was get laid and ends up whacking the heads off lesbian vampires. It’s a bit cheesy in places and some of the special effects made me laugh. It’s typical British humour though which many Americans just don’t get.

@Larry – For a B movie I thought it was pretty good. At least you had a laugh right? LOL
