LG Chocolate Touch

It wasn’t really all that long ago when decisions on a touch screen phone choice was limited to on one main brand and that was the iPhone. And since it was practically the only touch screen type of phone that had all those kewel applications that made mobile browsing and media entertainment fun, you had to fork out a wad of cash, arm and leg, and your first born child. LOL, well OK, you didn’t need to pay with an arm and a leg. But it was still expensive.
Well now the iPhone has some competition that might just take over. The LG Chocolate Touch looks to be the next hot commodity on the market as far as Multimedia Mobile Handsets go.
It is a phone that will allow you to make calls, use the internet, send texts, use Social Media, take pictures or video, and has a music player with Dolby Mobile technology for crystal-clear sound quality, and my favorite is the 3.2MP Camera/Recorder for quality pictures and videos, and includes an image editor. Yes, 3.2MP!
I would chuck this Piece of garbage Blackberry Perl Flip in an instant as soon as I get a chance to latch on to one of these babies.
If you go to the LG Chocolate Touch web site, you can see and hear what you can expect as far as the Dolby Mobile technology for crystal-clear sound quality. Another unique feature is the visual effects and Rhythmical Beat that vibrates the handset to the beat of the music. That part I really wouldn’t care much for, but I bet the kids would love their Mobile vibrate to a tune.
It appears to have some pretty slick One Touch Mobile Social Networking features for sites like Facebook and Twitter. It’s not as if I spend to much time on Facebook already. I know, I know. It’s an addiction. LOL
I’m really interested in the Mobile Media on this puppy also. The LG Chocolate Touch has some pretty nice picture, video, and voice messaging features that I would probably get a lot of use out of. It also has Visual Voicemail and texting features that are top-notch.
Everything you can get with the iPhone and probably more and a much affordable price. I’ll take one please!
This is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

I just recently got a Chocolate touch to replace my decrepit original LG Chocolate for Christmas and you are right to be excited by the prospect of the 3.2megapixel camera, it’s probably the best cellphone camera I’ve ever used, and the large touchscreen makes for easy/effective on-the-spot sorting of photos, and with a micro-SD card and Bluetooth it’s good adequate storage and super easy file transfers.
However, I’m a bit surprised at your glowing review, seeing as your domain name includes Mac but this phone is quite the opposite: the software has absolutely NO Mac or Linux compatibility whatsoever. I am the proud owner of a MacBook and iPod touch and my iTunes is brimming with good tunes and videos, and while I’ve been able to get some mp3 files onto the phone, it prevents you from filing them in its music database, allowing you only to store them in the same place as ringtones, halting a song in play if any of the phone’s buttons are pressed and lacking any sort of fast-forwarding capability within songs.
I realize that you disclaimed at the top of your review that it was sponsored, so I understand why the review is all positive things about the phone, and if I had a Windows OS installed on my MacBook then I wouldn’t have anything to complain about except the finicky touch keyboard and the awful web browser. But I felt that I should let any other exclusively Mac-based users out there know that this phone is yet another cool device and works great, but only if you have Windows. And even though Windows 7 was remarkable compared to its predecessors when I tried it out on a friend’s laptop, there’s no way I’m letting Windows onto my Mac. I switched for a reason. And I will continue to look for a phone manufacturer that is carried by Verizon (which is free for me) but still respects its Mac-using customers.

MacBros is not a name to describe a Mac OS. It’s a long story that goes way back. My last name is MacDonald and I had a co-ISP account with my brother, hence MacBros’ Place.
Although it’s just me now, I just held onto the name.
