I’m a big fan of cats, and I’m an even bigger fan of I Can Has Cheez Burger’s LOL Cats.

Dragon Lady will usually use one of the photos from the site (At least I think that’s where she’s getting them) for her, “I’ve got nothing” posts, and will add one of them instead for them brain farting days.

Not that I don’t mind her funny cat pictures, but I thought when I found this plug-in for WordPress, that I had to have it!

What it does is uses GD Library to re-size a thumbnail image of the original so you may have it displayed in your side bar. You’ll need to manually edit the plug-in’s PHP file to the size dimensions you want it to be as this plug-in doesn’t have an admin interface, yet. Once installed, it will generate a new image depending on the timer that you set it for. Mine is set to update every two hours.

It will also include the link to the LOL Cats site that the image resides from. I sent an e-mail to the author asking if there is a way to add the html tag ‘target=”_blank”‘ so it will open up in a new window/tab, because I like it so people don’t loose their place on my site if they were just curious to see the larget image before they checked out my junk. ( That just sounded wrong didn’t it? )

If you like the plug-in, then just go and get it. It’s very simple to install really, and it’s actually a very simple script.
