…..apartment.

Last night at 3am I got up to use the washroom, and noticed it was kinda warm in the place so as I was walking to the thermostat to turn the heat off, I ended stepping in some nice hot water. My first thought was cat piss, but it was actually bit too hot to be that, and there was a lot of it. My area rug was sopping wet, and I went to turn the light on I splashed my way to it.

Sound familiar? Awhile back this happened before, but it wasn’t as bad as this time. The base heater in the kitchen busted and filled the kitchen and half of my living room with water!

I initially woke up to the heater’s water hammer bang, so that might have been when it broke and it’s a good thing too because if I didn’t get up, it would have caused some serious damage.

You would think that after turning the heat off the water would stop gushing out of the cracked pipe. Nope, it still trickled enough to keep me busy from 3am till about 10:30 am.

I was furious when I tried to call the landlord and they weren’t even answering the phone. Maybe because they weren’t even home. They didn’t pull in to their parking spot till 10am. They had a plumber here in about half an hour, I was done moping at around 11am.

I left a message with the front desk at work to pass a message along to my so called instructor to let them know I wouldn’t be in. So I was scurrying around trying to find my phone book to call them as I didn’t have a work number listed on the cell phone, and the front desk wasn’t open till around 6:30am the same time I was supposed to be in for work.

What a freggin’ nightmare! I’m super duper ubber tired right now, but I can’t go to sleep yet because I have some grocery shopping that absolutely needs to be done right now, and I’ll be headed out to do that here soon because Mom is going to show up soon to take me to the supermarket. I might just end up curling up under the shopping cart and falling asleep and Mom can cart me around and pick up my list, and if she has any questions she can kick me.

I still think somebody out there still has a hex on me or something, because my luck has been pretty shitty lately. If that’s the case, could you please remove it, I think I’ve had enough bad luck for one person already.

I’m going to stay up the rest of the day because if I go to sleep when I get home, I’ll never get to sleep tonight.

Well I can see a bit of water seep out from under the wall. I better get that. I need a shop vac!
