Music StaffI have been scouring the electronics web sites on the web lately trying to find the best sound card for my music writing. I want to find something that has full digital sound banks of instruments and not them cheap FM sounds you normally get with Midi.

ttabsI have also been recreating the drum tabs from a bunch of songs that i like and I’ve also been duplicating other instruments from the guitar tab and bass tab from this awesome tab site called t-tabs.com. (Wow! Say that 10 times fast!)

This site is great for those who don’t know how to read music but since I do for keyboards and don’t know for drums the drum tabs are working out really well for me at the moment.

I have been spending a lot of time at this site recreating a lot of the tunes into Midi that I have future plans with, but that’s another post. But anyway, if you need to learn that song that is stuck in your head then you might want to give t-tabs.com a shot because they have over 140,000 guitar, bass, and drum tablatures to work with and I’m sure they will have that particular song you might be looking for.

Stay tuned because sometime in the near future I will be sharing some of these recreations with you all, just as soon as I get my hands on that perfect sound card. I have been doing a lot of window shopping so far comparing specs.

If you know of any sound cards, let me know.
