Snowfall warning for:
Oromocto and Sunbury County
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS 15 TO 25 CENTIMETRES IS FORECAST UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL MIX IN WITH ICE PELLETS OVER THE EXTREME SOUTH.
A LOW PRESSURE CENTRE DEVELOPING NEAR CAPE COD WILL TRACK TOWARD NEW BRUNSWICK THIS EVENING. SNOW AT TIMES HEAVY WILL SPREAD EASTWARD TO REACH THE ACADIAN COAST THIS EVENING. STRONG EASTERLY WINDS AHEAD OF THE STORM WILL GIVE LOW VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW. THE SNOW WILL BECOME MIXED WITH ICE PELLETS BEFORE CHANGING TO RAIN ALONG THE FUNDY COAST AND SOUTHEASTERN NEW BRUNSWICK OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. THERE IS A RISK OF FREEZING RAIN DURING THE CHANGE OVER. PRECIPITATION WILL END SATURDAY MORNING. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION AND MODIFY TRAVEL PLANS ACCORDINGLY.
