New Joomla SEO Component

Those who use Joomla know that it is not the greatest Content Management system when it comes to Search Engine Friendly URL’s (SEF’s). I personally know this because I have been tinkering with Joomla for the past few months and I’ve been trying to get Joomla SEO’d for the possibilities I believe the software can be used for when it comes to Content Management.

Well there’s a new component that has become available and it will help with Joomla Search engine optimization in a very big way.

With the Joomla SEF component called SerrBizSEF your URL’s will go from this…

http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Item id=71

…into an SEO SEF URL’s like this…

http://www.yourdomain.com/URL.html

You better snatch it up fast too, because it’s only going to be FREE from Sept 1st to Dec 31st 2007.

The next Restaurant Website update I will be using Joomla to be the main platform for the newest design. That way when we have specials and events planned it can be easily posted by the office instead of them asking me to make the changes for them.

This component will help out with the SEO in so many ways it’s not funny. I’m glad I can get rid of that coded URL and have a simple SEF one instead.

Even though you’re entitled to my opinion, you may actually want to grab this one if you too are a Joomla User, and if you’re not one, you should actually try out the application for your content management project. But just so you know, it’s a bit more advanced than WP and TypePad, even though Joomla is more than just a blogging platform really.

I really like Joomla the cool thing is that it is open source so there is always something being updated. Snatch what up fast, Joomla? How much will it be?

Opal, the component I talk about is only free for so long. Joomla is always free. Silly.

Hi. Thanks for the review. Sadly, we had to end the free download early due to abuse. After we make some changes, we may start it again. Maybe. Either way, we’ve gotten some 5 star reviews over at Joomla. Look in the extensions directory. :)
