This OTA layout shamelessly stolen from Diane.

Welcome to the Fridays Weekly Open Trackback Alliance Fest! Trackback to this article, include a link to this article in the one you’re trackbacking from, and your trackback will appear here on the front page, and in comments as well, IF aforementioned link to this article is found in your trackbacked article. It’s a great way to help build readership and exposure for your blog.

Open Trackback Alliance

If you think you’d be interested in joining the OTA, click on the above logo and find out how! There are other Alliance members holding open trackback posts today, you can find them listed on the blogroll as well. Please do NOT link “I’m having an open trackback party” posts. They are not interesting for other readers and are set to auto detonate.

NEWS: Due to the high volume of Track Back Spam. I have implemented a new spam fighting plug-in that will stop all Trackbacks and Comments that try to post without entering the authorization code.

Since there isn't a way to enter this code for Trackbacks (yet), the plug in will be turned off only on Friday's Open Trackback Alliance Day. Any Trackbacks submitted before 12am Friday and after 12am Saturday will not show up.

I'm sorry about this but if anybody has a better way to kill the spammers, I'm all ears. Because without the Authentication, I'm getting 500+ per day, spam Trackbacks and Comments.

My TB from Sony Playstation 3 US Launch Day – Over $3,000 on Ebay may have gotten caught in your spam collector.

I feel your pain. When I turn comment authentication off I get a dozen comments but hundreds of spam comments. When I ask readers to register I get nearly zero comments as well as zero spam. As a consequence I find many readers sending me emails telling me that they can’t comment. Very frustrating as I crave comments.
