Phone Interview

I got a phone call from the Tech Support job that I applied for last week. It was basically an over the phone interview.
I was asked a few questions about my computer and internet knowledge, and why I believe I would be a good candidate for the job. You know, the usually job interview questions.
The new site is expected to be having classes start as early as the first week in February. So I won’t hear anything on whether or not if I received the job or not until around that time.
I really hope that I do, because this sounds like something right up my alley. As I do consider myself as a bit of an Internet junkie really.
When I received the phone call, I was actually still sleeping, so my head was a bit foggy the first couple of minutes of the call, but I hope that didn’t come through on the phone call.
The past couple of days have been hard to sleep as they’re doing something in the hallways again, and they’re not very quiet doing whatever it is that they are doing. So the constant interruptions in my sleep is starting to effect me.
I have all that video and photo’s I need to edit and upload from the staff party, but I’m so burnt out right now from the lack of sleep, I really don’t feel like doing anything right now.
This morning, they were so kind as to bring in this enormous Pepsi machine into the hallway, making a ton of noise doing it. They were hollering, yelling, laughing, and making a racket that was really unnecessary. They totally disregarded the signs in the hallway that read basically to shut the fuck up in the hallways. So that got me up a few hours earlier than I had planned.
I hope the pop machine doesn’t make a lot of racket. Or it might end up mysteriously having it’s plug pulled all the time.
Yea. I’m grumpy and tired right now. I wouldn’t want to be the person who rubs me the wrong way tonight at work. I PITY Da’ Foo!
Well I think I’ll sit back and watch this movie I have here. I don’t think I’ll like it though. Meh, something to kill time.

Good luck with the phone drone! You, too can have a cube to tend to! So, if the Pepsi machine is noisy, maybe you can be like the guys who started Red Hat and become rich! They started their business by the pop machine.

I hope you receive the job.

Hmm…I never knew you were computer saavy. If I had known, I wouldn’t have kept going to Corey with all my geeky questions
What kind of place do you live in that they actually have pepsi machines in the hallway? Sounds like a hotel to me. Do they have ice machines too? Maybe you should ask to move to a different room.
Good luck with that job! If you get it, I’ll call and make you look good. I mean, better than you do already

Thanks guys/gals.
Sky, not a hotel. LOL
A lot of apartments around here have them. At least in the 3 places I’ve stayed in, here in town anyway.
It would have been better if they put it in the laundry room though. It’s kinda’ noisy out in the hallway.
I have the best unit in the building. I’ll keep it. The entire unit was rebuilt before I moved in. They had to rip the floors up and knock out all the walls because there was some major construction to do. When they finished, they had to rebuild the whole thing. Everything is brand spanking new.

I wish you the best on the job. The first week of February is really right around the corner though! You should hear soon.

Congrats on the callback! Don’t mess with the Pepsi machine! Try putting some towels near the bottom of the catch shoot and that should make much less noise…hehe.

teeni, got my fingers crossed.
ryan, thanks, and it’s not the cans banging, it’s the motor of the machine.
