Wednesday, September 26, 2007 3:40 | 190 views I have always been a fan of radio control helicopters for pretty much all my life. Well any RC flying vehicle actually. I’ve always wanted one from the first day I watched an armature RC air show way back when I was living in Petawawa Ontario.
Before they were very expensive to buy, but now they have become very affordable. You can even get them small ones that you can fly indoors.
I bet my Nephew would love to have one of these HeliMax RC helicopters. Heck, I wouldn’t mind having one of these to play around with. Christmas is just around the corner.
Imagine jerry rigging some sort of hitch that you can have it fetch a beer for you? LOL
These things sure have come a long way since I last watched an RC air show way back in the days. Not only are they more affordable, they’re smaller too.
Have you ever flown an RC plane or helicopter before?

I personally have not flown one of these before but my dad has had a bunch of them. He loves em! I think I would get a kick out of them too. But the temptation to do an air demolition derby would probably make it an expensive hobby for me.

I haven’t personnaly, but my cousin’s ex used to build his own, and took us younger cousins out once while he flew a couple for us. It was pretty cool.

My brother has had a RC Helicopter for about 10 years now and he loves it. It isn’t as easy to fly as you would think though. He started out with an RC boat and then traded up. He’s just a big kid at heart.

So judging from the comments here. I would say it’s safe to say that even us big boys like to play with the toys huh?
I might get one for next summer. Maybe the nephew and I can go next door to the park and have fun dive bombing the swans in the pond.
