Snow Day

I would have posted this on Monday, but things were a bit crazy with the blog and other stuff that took up a bit of my time.

Last Monday, we were officially hit with our first major storm.

I didn’t think it was all that bad, until I had to go into town to drop off the Doctors Note at the EI Office. It was then I realized how bad it was. The roads were just like butter. Dad said they shut down the schools all over, so that made the kids happy. You could see them everywhere playing in the nice fluffy and wet snow. Perfect for snowball fights and snowman building. The temperature was nice too. so playing outside wasn’t too bad I can imagine.
It wasn’t like a blizzard or anything, it’s just the amount of snow that fell in such a short time that caused the problems. Dad and I slipped and slided all the way into town. The roads were packed in some places and others were complete slush. It was a bit nerve wrecking.

I took some snapshots out the window to show:

Them big blobs are actually snowflakes. Nice big fluffy snowflakes. It was a lot heavier, but by the time I changed the batteries in the camera and got the shots, it had slowed down a bit

Just be glad you didn’t have to shovel it. It almost fucken killed me. Not to mention shovel bent to the point of almost snapping a few times. The rain that followed it made real damn heavy.

Yea, the rain would have made it a bitch to shovel. Most people shovel before that happens though. :-”

I’m actually surprised that there’s still snow on the ground after all that rain.

Been awhile since you held a shovel. Most smart Canadian. Wait for the blows to go by first. Nothing more enjoying then shoveling your driveway and get it done, only to have plow refill the first 4 feet with huge chunks of snow cause it’s so clean and easier for snow to flow off the plow. And it was pissing out raining will I was shoveling.
