With all the buzz about the economy going to hell in a handbag and companies closing down or getting bailed out of debt, I’m questioning if it is also having an effect on the Google AdSense service also?
Normally I will average about $2-3 per day with AdSense revenue, sometimes on a really good day I’ll get around $5, but that only happens on really good days. But lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of days with averages below a dollar.
I’m still generating the same traffic volume and the clicks are about the same as they always have been. Are the advertisers feeling the pinch, or are they just getting cheap? Is Google AdSense getting fewer and fewer advertisers causing the lower payouts? What’s going on?
Am I the only one that is using AdSense that has noticed this downward trend? Or are there others that are experiencing the same thing?
I know that2 or 3 bucks a day isn’t a lot of money, but it does add up and that $100 in the pocket every other month sure comes in handy. Every dollar counts for me, especially with the financial crap I’m going through at the moment.
I have also noticed the Blank spaces showing up more when there are no ads relevant to the page at a particular moment when entering the web site. Maybe there really is a shortage of ads to display. Who really knows?
All I can say is that I sure hope things pick up again soon, and more ads show up so people can click on the ones that interest them. I know them free downloads or online games catch my eye. My Nephew keeps playing them ones too. Besides, who can pass up a FREE game right?
Well that’s all I want to say about that I guess. So get the AdSense Revenue generating again, MacBros needs a new pair of shoes!
It took about 2 hours to install, but that was because I have over 12 thousand comments that the plug-in had to copy to the service.
IntenseDebate Comments enhance and encourage conversation on your blog or website. Full comment and account data sync between IntenseDebate and WordPress ensures that you will always have your comments. Custom integration with your WordPress admin panel makes moderation a piece of cake. Comment threading, reply-by-email, user accounts and reputations, comment voting, along with Twitter and friendfeed integrations enrich your readers’ experience and make more of the internet aware of your blog and comments which drives traffic to you!
The South Park avatars will no longer be available, nor will the smiley icons. If this new plug-in becomes something that people don’t like, I’ll remove it. But just last night there has been a huge difference in traffic. And that traffic also generated some AdSense revenue for me too, and I like that.
So if ya wanna take part, just comment, and rate other people if you wanna’.

Sunday Aug 17, 2008
Wow. This has got to be one of the most boring Sundays that I have experienced in a long time. All I did today was fart around on the Internet, watch a movie, do the dishes, and lay around watching TV and stuff.
If you are subscribed to my Feed, you’ll notice that I added Google AdSense to the RSS Feed now. It’s a new feature AdSense has added to their system. Hopefully it would collect some good coinage, as I could really use it right about now.
I was going to watch Barnyard 2, but it’s getting a bit late. Yes, Barnyard 2! I didn’t know it was out either. I just finished watching The Mutant Chronicles. An interesting movie to say the least. Maybe there will be a review later.
Well that’s all I got to say. Time to go lay around again. Doing nothing. Waiting for Monday to strike.
