Wow! That third song they wrote for the winning contestant really sucks!

It definitely wasn’t written for a male vocalist. I mean come on, mountains and hurricanes and whatever? I believe Simon even commented on some of the lyrics. He even thinks that it was a terrible song for these guys to be singing.

And yes, I was watching this season. There was never anything on Tuesday nights anyway. I just missed the results shows. Since all my favorite TV shows have already finished up with their season finales, I might just PVR the results tomorrow night and watch it when I get home from work.

So Who do you think will win? Adam or Kris?

I think Adam should win simply because I’m a rocker and I like his style, but judging how America has been voting I think that Kris may win. Kris will get the popularity votes instead of the talent votes, but with THAT said, Kris has more musical talent than Adam does. Adam is a good singer and has a vocal range that is out of this world, and although Kris can sing too, just not as good as Adam, Kris has a musical talent that Adam doesn’t really have.

Bottom line for me is that I would Buy Adams CD, but probably not Kris’s.

That’s just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

This is what the first couple of weeks of these shows should be called. Canadian Idol and American Idol should be called, Canadian Idiot and American Idiot which is a far much better title for the audition process.

I usually don’t follow the rest of the show, unless there is some good talent. I’m usually watching the auditions, then I leave while they weed out the rejects that got through, and usually pick up again near the end. All the hoo-ha in between doesn’t interest me.

However, I do have another show that I wanna’ watch. That show that just started called Homeland Security is good to watch too. I’ll probably be flicking back and forth between the two shows.

Is it just me, or am I not the only person that finds the first part of these shows hilarious? I get a good laugh when some of these people come on thinking their all that, and sound terrible in their audition, and then fight with the judges as if  the judges don’t know what they’re talking about. Are they real, or actors I wonder?

I really get a good laugh when a contestant gets a second chance only if they agree to go out of the building and do something the judges ask them to do and them come back for the second audition and sound even worse than the first time.

I just hope they don’t all of a sudden be all nice to the contestants because of the suicide of a previous contestant. If they are, I’ll probably skip watching the show. I like it a lot when the judges are real asses to the contestants. It makes for good entertainment.

Well some time has passed and I think that everybody has watched the show last night and has watch their recordings by now, and also probably know who finally won the American Idol Crown.

I watched it today since I was working last night (for the last time, but more on that later) and found the finale pretty entertainable.

I’ve put together a video featuring some of my favorite parts below, and the winning moment when the voting results were read off declaring the American Idol Winner.

I really liked Mike Myers plug on his movie, The Love Guru and for his participation in a comedy skit with both Davids. Jimmy Kimmel was pretty funny too. Then I thought it was awesome when David Cook rocked out with one of my old time favorite bands ZZ Top. That was pretty kewel and he did a great job.’

When Bryan Adams came on I started thinking, Is this American Idol, or Canadian Idol because a lot of the guest performers were Canadians. LOL

Anyway, I had a feeling David Cook was going to win this one, simply because he better at both being a performer and an artist.

Lets just hope he makes a name for himself and doesn’t drop of the face of the earth like a lot of the former Idols have in the past.

I just have to say that this season was probably one of the best so far, but this is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

I have actually been watching this season of American Idiot. The contestants this season were actually pretty damn good!

Some people ask why I say ‘American Idiot’ instead of ‘American Idol’ and the reason for that is that I think that the winners of the show are idiots for not taking a fall and doing really shitty in the final two round. Since the winner gets shafted by the network, the deal with 19, and the bullshit that follows. Look at how well Chris Daughtry is doing even though he left with fourth place. He did better than the finalists. So in my opinion (which you’re entitled to) 2nd or 3rd place would probably be a hell of a lot better than being stuck in a contract that makes you work your ass off and only getting less than 50% of all the sales that you generate.

But that’s not what I really want to talk about. Lets get to tonights final round. David Cook and David Archuleta go head to head.

Well, after watching the show tonight I have to say that it’s hard to guess who is going to take the crown as American Idol/Idiot.

I have to say that I prefer the style of music that David Cook plays over the style that David Archuleta sings. I think David C. is a lot more talented both when it comes to musical talents and to singing. I am a Rock N’ Roll person and that’s why I would like to see David C. win. I think he could put out some really good CD’s. David C. can sing and play some really good Rock tunes, I think he would also be a pretty good writer also when it comes to song writing. That alone is a good reason why he should take the crown.

David Archuleta on the other hand has a really good voice. But that’s all he has. I don’t think he would be very good when it came to writing his own music and compositions. If he wins this one, I think it would be more because of the fact that he has the popularity votes and not necessarily the talent votes. If he picked up an instrument to show off his musical abilities then I would be really impressed. He’s got a very good voice and can really belt out them notes, but as far as doing something origional, I don’t think he’s capable of doing so without having somebody else write for him.

As far as the show went. I thought David Cooks 2nd and 3rd songs were very good while David Archuleta only impressed me with his 2nd performance.

I really liked the song David C. did on the 2nd performance and I bet the person who wrote it was pretty amazed at what he did, same goes for the choice of David A’s pick.

I don’t know what Simon was talking about when he commented on both David’s performances, but then got to thinking, “He’s saying the opposite of what he really thinks because he doesn’t want to influence the votes.” We know that in the past that a lot of voters were going against what Simon said just to spite him, so I hope the same thing happens tomorrow nightt when they read the results.

Who do you think will win it, who is the most talented, and who deserves to win the American Idol Crown?

My answer to those questions are (unfortunately) David Archuleta, David Cook, and David Cook.

I hope this seasons Canadian Idol/Idiot is just as good as this season’s American Idol/Idiot!

I really hope that this seasons contestants are as good, and that somebody with some real Rock talent can step up to the plate and blow the show away. I’m tired seeing these Fiddlers and Céline Dion wannabe’s getting to the top three and leaving the real talent behind. Hopefully people start voting on talent and not popularity this season.

I got a good laugh out of this, and I hope you do too.

With the TV Writers strike killing all the great Television shows that I usually like to watch, it has me watching shows that I usually would never be watching. Either because the shows are lame or just happen to air the same time another show is on that I happen to like a lot better.

I haven’t watched American Idiot Idol the past few seasons because the singing was terrible and IMO the whole voting process is totally fucked up. Both the American and Canadian shows have the same voting process and I’ve been seeing that the ones that win are the most popular and not necessarily the most talented. So I just stopped watching the shows after the initial auditions were finished, just because I think that is the best part of the show as it can be quite funny.

I’ll have to admit though, that since there hasn’t been anything else on the TV lately, that I’ve been watching the show and I’m actually impressed with this season. Being allowed to use instruments is a great idea! It shows the talent off more and hopefully won’t end up being a popularity contest like previous episodes, and actually have a winner that can actually perform and sing.

Lets hope that the Canadian show is just as good this year, just in case all my usual TV shows are still on hiatus and I have nothing better to watch.
