I’m getting sick of people telling me to enjoy my long weekend or saying to have a nice long weekend.
Why? Because I have to fucking work the long weekend that’s why. I don’t get holidays off, that’s why, I have a shitty job, that’s why, I hate my job, THAT’S WHY!
I don’t have to be reminded every damn time everybody says, “Have a nice long weekend!”
Sometime I feel like just saying, “Fuck off!” But I know a lot of people don’t know I work a crappy job, so I just bite my tongue. Even if blood comes gushing out between my lips. So I will vent a little here. Why? Because I can!
This is yet another reason that I hate this fucking job. When it comes to weekends or holidays, I will never see the light of day when it comes to them. I’ll never get to enjoy any long weekends off like most people do who have regular jobs. Like the one I used to have, but got let go from because I didn’t have a vagina and a Bible phrase being spouted from my mouth every hour.
I am still longing for another job like that, which is why my eyes are focused on the Job Bank every day before work.
And speaking of work. A lot of people who work on post-paid accounts will be having their hours slashed down to next to nothing next week. Rumor has it that Pre-Paid account agents will be getting the same, but I haven’t seen the notice yet.
If it wasn’t so GD hard to fine a new job I would just say lay me off and collect Employment Insurance instead.
The whole hours thing is going to be based on your performance, so that means the worst you do the worst your hours will be. If you’re in the top 100 your guaranteed full time hours. Makes sense really. Do your job and you’ll be OK.
But the flaw there is that there are a lot of people doing a great job there but just fall under the 100 point mark because some fucktard customer dragged a call out for an hour when we need to keep the calls under 8 minutes because the customer cant understand that 50 cents from a dollar leaves 50 cents. And since we can’t hang up on customers, we have to go in loops trying to make the customer understand this simple math problem. And then the agent gets bad marks and looses points.
Crappy system, I know. Everything about this job is crappy actually, which is why….

Top O' The Morning To Ya'
Thought that this LOL’s Cats was just appropriate for this post since it is St. Patrick’s Day after all.
Today I went into work with just around 3 or 4 hours sleep, and I have to admit that the first part of the day was a bitch to try and get through. In the middle of the day I kind of got a second wind, but that was quickly taken away near the end of the day.
Wen I got home I grabbed a bite to eat and ended up passing out for about an hour. I really didn’t want to do that because it just makes me feel like shit for the rest of the night. So a nice cup of java took care of that groggy feeling for the night.
As I was writing this post, Top Hosting Center went down. Not a very good impression to make with this magical migration IMO. So far it’s been about 45 minutes and I’m still waiting for the damn site to come back up.
I’ve decided to finish writing this post in notepad so I don’t lose my line of thought, and my thoughts are really evil right now with the site being down again.
Yea, I’m pissed off. This so called move to a new server was supposed to be the ultimate solution to downtime problems. Well, the proof is yet to be produced.
What has it been, a week? And the site is crashing down already, and it’s not just this one. It’s all the sites I know that are on this server, ar at least the ones I KNOW are on this same server.
Not impressed at all.
Maybe they were into to much of the Green Beer. WHAT? Why am I making excuses? I’m not in a good mood right now.
EXCUSE: apparently, when we shutdown the web2, we had a conflict between the old and new one, our senior sysadmins are working on the issue, it should not be long , thank you for your patience, it is not a server that crashed
That was 20 mins ago…. then 30 minutes later there was an e-mail telling me what I already know…. Not impressed. But I have to give them credit for taking initiative and getting to it to fix the problem. This will be ‘X’ number one. The problem was fixed about an our or so later with the assurance it wouldn’t happen again. The proof is in the pudding I always say, well actually I don’t always say that , but it’s just a saying.
Anyway, back to work topics.
Today I watched two supervisors spend six hours playing kindergarten making some kind of table of names on 8 pieces of bright colored construction paper. A complete waste of time, seriously. Something that would have takes any teen about 45 minutes to an hour to do in elementary school.
Yet they want to cut back on hours of the real people working to cover expenses and save money, but they’ll pay these two boobs to fuck around all day.
Nothing ever makes any sense there.
Then there was the construction guys building the new bathrooms for the second week in a row, yea, two weeks. Mike Holmes could have done them in two days. But anyway, they had the outside doors open all morning and I nearly froze my balls off today.
I better not get sick from that or I’ll be so pissed off…. GA!!!!

Job Hunting - Iz doin' it wrong
I’ve bee scouring through the job bank desperately looking for better job opportunities that I can apply for. There isn’t really a whole lot to choose from. There are a lot of call center jobs, but I am really trying to get away from that line of work, it might pay OK, but the job itself and the hours are terrible. There are a lot of cooking jobs also, and I vowed a long time ago that I would never do that shit again, since the hours and job sucks too.
There were a couple of job postings that were out there, but I went out on a limb and applied anyway.
There was one that was looking for a Building Maintenance Worker for a Motel that was full time and days. The hours were what drew me to it, and the job tasks didn’t seem to be all that difficult since I have some previous experience doing some of the things they described, I sent them my resume.
I applied for a Shipping Agent position for some Biological Monitoring company that has an opening for a permanent full time position during the days. Again, the hours looked good and it is something I’m familiar with from my time placing orders for the restaurant I work at. It involves 20Lb lifting and packing, and opening stuff. placing orders, shipping stuff. I can do that.
The job that I really want though, is the Digital Graphic Design Technician position that is permanent full time and days. Everything about the job is something that interests me a great deal. I’ve heard so many comments from readers and friends that I should be doing something like this for a living. When I saw the job posting, I jumped right at it. I had to include some examples of my stuff, so I added about a dozen or so of my favorite Photoshop images from my gallery. I added a description and chose the most tasteful ones, and added that they would need to have a sense of humor if they viewed the rest of the gallery.
I really hope I get a chance to work as their Digital Graphic Design Tech, that would be the right job for me. It’s something that would allow my creativity to come out, show off my talent, and do something that I truly enjoy.
I should have left a link to this site as a referance for they could view a post with all of you recommending me for the job. I wonder how that would have gone over?
I’m not getting my hopes up though. Because I’m sure there is somebody else who has some BS Degree that looks all great on paper, but doesn’t have an ounce of creativity will get the job. It always seems to happen that way.
I just want something that has good hours and pays well. Anything but this call center bull shit.

I have to work today and tomorrow. It’s actually a great day to go out for a walk and shoot some pictures, but unfortunately this fucking job is yet again keeping me from a personal life.
I can’t stand this job. I haven’t been outside for so long now I feel like a hermit. I get home in the middle of the night grab a bite to eat and watch a bit of television till I wined down from all the frustration of listing to idiots and assholes on the phone then I’m in bed sleeping.
Then I get up, get some coffee in me and if I’m lucky and have an appetite a bite to eat and I get ready for work again.
Unlike your regular day time job where you get up an hour or so before you have to leave for your job get ready an off you go for the day, and then you get home and relax for the rest of the evening or go out and do something, you really can’t do that when you work shitty shifts like I do. What would be the relaxing time between, lets say from 5pm till about 10 or 11pm, is actually broken up in half because you get up in the day, have a couple of hours to get ready for the night, get home and spend a couple hours winding down and going to bed.
Don’t get me started on having my days off all scattered and hardly ever together.
Well, I guess what I’m trying t o say here is,

Drinking kitty
I know all to well what this guy is talking about. Especially after I saw my schedule for next week. With this work schedule I won’t even have the bottle…err… glass to drink out of. I’ll be working crappy shifts this weekend, meaning after I work late night Friday Night, I’ll have to get home and try and get a bite to eat and go to bed right away since I have to be up early again to get to work in the morning. Fucking assholes! I swear there a bunch of fucking monkeys making up these dame time schedules.
I’m off on Monday and Tuesday, so at least my two days off are together. But I’m still working the night shift, not that I mind, it’s just that it always seems to NOT co-inside with my driver’s schedule.
And this little Pussy says a whole lot to the situation that I’m in also.
Kitty is on to me! O_0
With the the cutback in hours and the Bad weather causing missed days and the debt and bills piling up, there have been some cut backs at home also.
Buddy figured it out right away that his food isn’t what he usually gets and is really finicky with the cheap brand I got him. He’ll only eat it when he is hungry enough. Brain on the other hand doesn’t even taste his food anyway, so I don’t think he even noticed the change yet.
My refrigerator is looking a bit empty. It’s been nothing but Eggs, Hot Dogs, and french fries over the past few weeks. Let me tell ya’ that eating that combination for that long period of time makes for some funky gas and frequent trips to the can.
I know it’s not healthy, but it’s cheap and the only thing affordable.
Hopefully if I’m lucky, that with a little influence from my friend Mr Corey, I’ll be getting a call soon for an interview for another job that hopefully will be managable and managed a lot better than my current employer.
I want to work there because I am more likely to be able to handle Idiot calls from that line of work than I can the Idiots that call about once cent or can’t turn on their cell phone, or even do simple math like, “$1 a day for 20 days is $20.” Yes, I know, they do walk amongst us.
Onother thing is Location. It in an area that’s perfect if I have to move. There are places all around there that are within walking distance. So transportation won’t be an issue. Pay is better, it’s something that I am interested in, and from what I know, the hours are better and you know what your working way in advance.
I’ve applied there so many times now, and I’m hoping that an insider can influence the hire this time. No pressure Corey

I’m not talking about the video game Driver either. Although that is a very fun game to play, but at the moment I’m not able to be playing games because I’m busy with trying to get this old computer working so it is at least half tolerable.
It’s an old computer and like I have said in many past posts, it is very slow and I can’t operate or even use my current software, like Photoshop for example.
I need money to purchase a new hard drive and until I can afford it, I’ll have to make do with what I have at the moment.
That said, I was trying to print out my resume and for the life of me I couldn’t get the damn printer to print. I tried to install the Printer software, but this old computer doesn’t have a DVD ROM drive. So, I have no way to install the darn Drivers !
Thankfully there is a site to download the latest and up to date Drivers through their free access to their Driver database.
Now that I got my Lexmark Drivers installed I got my resume all printed out. Now if I can just find an employer to take it and hire me.
While I’m on the topic of drivers and the fact I can’t install any that are on DVD’s, I’m brought to another scenario involving my D-Link Drivers. I have been running my web cam for awhile now not realizing that the IP’s in the Port Forwarding section on the setup screen are not correct. I was trying to update it to the right IP addresses, but the damn thing wouldn’t save the changes. I thought that updating the drivers would solve that, but it didn’t.
Does anybody out there know why my D-Link router won’t save the settings after I change them and reboot the router? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well as of 9:45am, I am unemployed.
I was working away trying to get things ready for lunch. Busy, but on time.
Last month, approximately 200 hours of work time ago, I was told I have 200 hours probation to get four things improved. Four things that I was totally oblivious to knowing that I was doing incorrectly, because the manager of the Deli failed to inform me that I was not performing to their standards. So OK, she dropped the ball, and I knew what I had to improve upon. No big deal, because I knew I could do it.
Breakfast items such as muffins and cinnamon buns to be out on display by 7:30am DONE!
Daily menu items ready for the oven by 9:00am DONE!
Get involved with catering orders and assume a sense of ownership. DONE!
Preparation towards the end of the day for the next day. DONE!
Everything seemed to be fine. I was doing what I was asked to do. I wasn’t told that I was doing anything wrong, even though I asked deli manager if everything was fine, and she said, “yea, all is fine.”
I did all that was expected of me, and then some. All on my own without help. I busted my balls to make everybody happy!
But I get this as their reason, “Your employment with Jobs Unlimited has been terminated due to general unsuitability for the position.”
I feel bad about the clients and I will actually miss them. They were a happy group of individuals and that’s why I loved that job so much. That was the first job that I actually enjoyed getting up in the morning to go to, despite my grumblings of actually having to get up and go INTO work. I’ll miss it and the co-workers that I got along with.
I just wish I had somebody there that could have spoke up and defended me and actually gave a shit. If there was, I probably would still be working there.
Well, for what’s it’s worth, Thanks Scamp for getting me the job, but I guess I just didn’t fit in with the crowd.
Time to go and let it all sink in now.
