OK, I know that I was supposed to add some games to my Free Games page a long time ago but things don’t always work out the way I want.

I’ve added two games. One is called Police Chopper, and you’re objective is to pilot a Helicopter through various courses and play different scenarios. It’s a Shockwave game, so you may need to update your browser plug-ins.

The other one that I have added could prove to be highly addictive to almost everybody. The object of the game is to keep bouncing the ping pong ball on your paddle for as long as possible. For every hundred bounces you advance to a higher lever, and the harder it gets. Should be fun for bragging rights if you happen to capture a screen shot.

My plans are to add one or two new games every day or every other day, but at least a couple a week, whatever time permits. So you may want to keep going back to check out the newest additions. I may not post about new games being added, or I may, who knows?

I hope you enjoy them, I’ve been stuck playing Ping Pong all the time, so that may prove to be a problem keeping me away from adding newer games.

This is just a quick announcement to my fellow loyal readers, and yes, even the ones who never comment.

If you look up at the header, you’ll notice that a couple of links have disappeared and have been moved on to the left sidebar. They were just some disclosures and TOS’s links, nothing big or anything, but I just want my main links up top.

The latest link is the Gaming Page. This page will feature a few new games every other day for you all to play for real. They will be classics, and time killers. Just be sure you have your flash updated and also your Shockwave too for director type games.

I’m hoping this will be a fun and popular addition to the site. I know I’ll be spending a lot of time playing these things too. I just need to be sure I’m adding more than what I’m playing and wasting my time with .

Thanks have to go out to Rich, AKA: The English Guy for helping out with a couple of dilemmas I was having. One was figuring out the new custom page template settings in WordPress 2.6.1 and how to not display certain pages amongst the group of pages on the site.

For those who want to know, what he helped me figure out. To keep certain pages from being linked with the rest of the pages you just need to add to the already WP tag wp_list_pages(); to look something like this, wp_list_pages('exclude=1,2,3'); 1,2,3 being the actual page ID.

For the template problem; Just add the following code to the first line of your template page and then the rest will come to you.

*/ ?>

yourname being the name of the template, which will show in the template section of the admin Write Page section.

My Nephew is going to love this awesomely cool find when he visits here next time!

He’s a big fan of these virtual online worlds where you can chat and interact with others from all over the world, he also enjoys the in world games you can play also. He actually spends hours upon hours playing these things. He has an addiction at such a young age LOL!

Have you ever seen them annoying ads on web sites that taunt you to click them and then only be brought to a page that tries to install some sort of Spyware and Adware application to your browser and all your Messaging applications? If you say no, then it’s time to come out from under that rock you have been hiding under, because they’re all over the place.

I have never fallen for them free application offers ever since the first and last time that I tried one out. What I found was it ended up slowing my PC and it was tracking my surfing. I found out when my Adware and Spyware detection software told me about them.

Did you know that there’s a IM application called SweetIM that is actually free from all the adware and spyware? I have installed it and tested it and I have to say, ” These things are hilarious!” Plus there’s no registration either!

I got to thinking about how a service like this makes any money if there is no trace of Spyware or Adware hidden inside it. They state that on their front page which in itself is really funny. So I did some snooping through their FAQ page and found the following entry.

How do you make money?
To support the development of SweetIM and to be able to retire to the Caribbeans, besides free content, we will offer users premium content that they can buy if they choose too. Premium content could be additional packs of winks, emoticons and audibles, premium Ringtones for mobile phones, and commission should users decide to purchase full versions of games online through SweetIM. We also get commissions from our advertising partners when users conduct a search through our toolbar and click on any of the ads. We will never place any spyware and never generate money from selling user’s personal information.

So now I see. That makes complete sense. So if you want more, you can buy more.

If you like these sorta things with your IM applications like MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger, then you must get this one because you won’t have to worry about them snooping into your internet habits.

Seriously folks, these things are awesome! They have Emoticons, Winks, Sound Effects, audibles, pictures, and special content that will smash your IM window for example.

There’s one caveat though, the user on the other end needs to have it installed also, otherwise they will just get a link prompting them to get it. So if they don’t have it, you might want to inform them what it is that you are trying to do.
