Last night a started to fall asleep standing up. No, not because I thought I was being like a cow sleeping while standing up, but because I didn’t get any sleep at all since the day before at 7PM. So I was up for over 32 hours.

When I got home Thursday morning at 3am I decided that I would go to bed a little later because there were some things I needed to get at the supermarket. I wanted  to pick up some eggs and bathroom items for when I got up later that day.

Well when it came time to actually go to sleep at around 9:30am or so, a few of the building workers decided it was time to start up their jack-hammer and start hammering away at the concrete floor outside in the hallways to do some repairs on the heating system.

It would have been nice if they sent out a memo letting us know about it, because then I would have went to bed straight away instead of waiting to go to the supermarket.

I ended up turning on the TV and watching a few movies, and had the volume cranked because the jack-hammer was so loud.

This went on until 7pm or so and then they decided it was time to all gather in front of my door and talk about the the job they have just started.

FUCK! By this time I said to myself, there’s no point in going to bed now, since it’s almost time to get ready for work again! No point in going to sleep for just an hour and trying to wake back up again.

So I shaved and took a shower, put on a pot of coffee, had a bite to eat and got ready for work.

It was about 2:30am that I caught myself dozing off while standing at the line, and it concerned me that it might be a good time to just go home to sleep, before I fell and cracked my head open, or ended up going head first into the deep fryer.

I have came to the conclusion, that this building isn’t the best place to live when you work the graveyard shift. Ya’ Think!

I got a phone call from the Tech Support job that I applied for last week. It was basically an over the phone interview.

I was asked a few questions about my computer and internet knowledge, and why I believe I would be a good candidate for the job. You know, the usually job interview questions.

The new site is expected to be having classes start as early as the first week in February. So I won’t hear anything on whether or not if I received the job or not until around that time.

I really hope that I do, because this sounds like something right up my alley. As I do consider myself as a bit of an Internet junkie really.

When I received the phone call, I was actually still sleeping, so my head was a bit foggy the first couple of minutes of the call, but I hope that didn’t come through on the phone call.

The past couple of days have been hard to sleep as they’re doing something in the hallways again, and they’re not very quiet doing whatever it is that they are doing. So the constant interruptions in my sleep is starting to effect me.

I have all that video and photo’s I need to edit and upload from the staff party, but I’m so burnt out right now from the lack of sleep, I really don’t feel like doing anything right now.

This morning, they were so kind as to bring in this enormous Pepsi machine into the hallway, making a ton of noise doing it. They were hollering, yelling, laughing, and making a racket that was really unnecessary. They totally disregarded the signs in the hallway that read basically to shut the fuck up in the hallways. So that got me up a few hours earlier than I had planned.

I hope the pop machine doesn’t make a lot of racket. Or it might end up mysteriously having it’s plug pulled all the time.

Yea. I’m grumpy and tired right now. I wouldn’t want to be the person who rubs me the wrong way tonight at work. I PITY Da’ Foo!

Well I think I’ll sit back and watch this movie I have here. I don’t think I’ll like it though. Meh, something to kill time.

Went to bed at 6am and was awaken by the same noise as the other day. Banging, power sawing, hammering, prying, smashing, and a shit load of other construction noises. Yup, I managed to get another 2 hours sleep or so.

I tried to sleep for the full 7 hours laying there doing everything I could to try and block the noise. Tried to sleep by imagining that it was all part of a dream.

I have to say the time flew by while I lay there trying to get a few winks of sleep. Before I knew it, my alarm clock went off because it was time to get ready for another day at the hell hole. It really sucks when you get up before your alarm clock goes off. But in my case, I didn’t even get any sleep.

Just seconds before I sat down to write this little rant, there was a knock on the door.

It was one of the construction guys!

Several thoughts went through my mind. For example, “Should I grab one of my swords from the wall and impale him on it?”, or, “Should I grab him by the head and hold him between the door frame and repeatedly slam the door on his head?” but I managed to bury the anger and let him say what he had to say.

“Just wanted to let you know that we’ll be replacing your windows tomorrow.”

WTF!!!????

The violent thoughts immediately came back into my mind. I told him that I work the graveyard shift and I’ll probably be trying to sleep. I also told him that I was wondering how they plan on doing the windows with the big 30 ton desk in front of the window.

So I guess I’ll be moving my shit away from the windows for these guys. I’ll be damed if I let them move it.

What I have to do is try and get off from work early tonight so I can get some sleep before they start, and I also want to be here while they work. I trust nobody. To many nice valuable things here. Plus I wanna take pictures !

Well I have to get ready for work. I need to go in early to pick up a check from the office for my Graphic work I did  a couple of months ago.

It was a really slow night last night and that made things a whole lot worse with me being so tired due to the lack of sleep from the previous day with all the construction going on.

So I left an hour early, since there wasn’t any need for me to be there.

As soon as I got home, I grabbed a  bite to eat and I went to sleep. Only to be awaken from the laud mouth neighbors that seem to like to have their loud conversations out in the hallways. Fuckers.

Luckily for me though, I had to get up in ten more minutes anyway. But it would have been nice to have them extra 10 minutes of sleep mind you.

Well, I have some things I want to do, so I’ll make this short.

Just two more nights to go, and I’m off for three days again. YAY!

There isn’t a coffee big enough for me right now to keep me awake.

Right now I’m sitting here trying to wake my ass up and get ready for work. I’m having a hard time because I didn’t sleep very well at all today.

There have been workers installing new windows in the vacant apartment units and they so kindly start working at a nice and early seven in the fucken’ morning.

So I’ve been trying to sleep while they’re hammering and power sawing away all day just outside my door.

In case you don’t know this already, I work the graveyard shift and my 7am is like my your Midnight. So that’s why I’m trying to sleep during the daytime, in case you are wondering.

So I’m sitting here trying to  wake up and refrain from taking a couple of pot shots at the workers right now. It’s 3 PM and they’re still at it.

I went to bed at 5am and have been up since 7am trying to sleep through this bullshit.

Who the fuck renovates windows in the middle of winter anyway?

I got to pull off a 4;30pm till 3am shift tonight and I have a feeling it’s not going to be easy.

On a side note, I usually set up my PVR to record my favorite TV shows around this time, but after looking through the guide, it’s nothing but repeats. Darn it!

Well I’m out of coffee, so I better jump in the shower. And don’t bother with the web cam, it’s not pointing in the room this time
