When I woke up this morning-ish I opened up the curtains on the windows and saw nothing but white. The storm we had last night dumped up to 40 cm or more on the city of Fredericton. The snow was up halfway over my windows. I can’t see anything but the huge snowdrift that formed outside the window. I can’t see the parking lot, or the trees off to the right of the building.

Buddy and Brain are a bit pissed off at the moment because they can’t see anything either when they sit up in the window. They seem to be lost without being able to sit up in the window and watch stuff blow by. Seems all they want to do now is just lay around and do nothing. It’s as if their entertainment was taken away.

Corey posted a picture of his road, well, sorta. It’s actually a snow covered field now since the plows haven’t made their way to his place yet. Nice time for a snowshoe or a ski run.

They say we got about 40cm of that white crap already and yet the snowfall warning is still calling for an additional 10cm by the end of the night. I can’t get over how much snow we’ve got in such a short time.

If anybody out there is still wishing they had snow where they live, then by all means. Come and take some. You know what? I’m feeling generous, why don’t you come and take it all?

 

I had to take a walk next door to go pick up a few things like Eggs, Pepsi, Margarine, and milk for those wondering. As I was passing byt the Beer store, they had a funny sign in the window saying, “Sorry, we’re closed due to weather conditions  ”  with a crying face under it. I guess that is what all the dried out and thirsty people, who just spent hours shoveling out their car to get to the beer store, only to find out the store is closed would look like.

As if we didn’t already have enough snow dammit!

The video doesn’t really show just how bad it really is out there right now. It’s really blowing like crazy at points and you can’t even see out the window because of the complete whiteouts. Must be because the snow is flying by so fast all you get is a blurr on the video.

The weather warning is saying it’s going to last up untill Friday afternoon. This is just crazy!

My drive called to tell me that she wasn’t going to be driving in, I can’t blame her really, and she actually offered to pay for my cab drive into work. I couldn’t take the money when I can’t afford to pay it back. I told her I would catch a cab, but little did I realize I didn’t have the cash to get one. I thought I actually had enough to get to and from work today, but when I went to check just before calling a cab, all I saw was $5.

I thought I had $15. So here I am. Stuck home and losing a days pay again. FUCK!

It’s ironic, because I can’t afford to go into work today because I can’t afford to go into work today.

I hope I get that job I applied for last night.

I don’t know what the hell I’m going to do this payday. This really sucks! I’m so fucking depressed right now.

I took advantage of the nice weather today and the fact that I was off work today also, and went for a walk in the park. I took a stroll through Odel Park and took some pictures on my stroll through. You can view all them pictures on my Flickr Account.

I got some really nice shots too. Unfortunately since I cant edit them in Photoshop (because my good computer is FUBAR) I just uploaded them all untouched. There are a few of them I’ll be putting into a panorama image. When I get my good computer up and running again, I’ll update them then.

People were out there sleding and skiing down the hills and having fun. I didn’t photograph them because that would look odd. Some guy by himself in teh woods snapping pictures of strangers. LOL

Anyway, enjoy what I got.

Crappy weather upon crappy weather.

I think this has been the nastiest winters I’ve evperienced in awhile. It fregging cold too! -40°C most days and nights makes your balls crawl up inside your chest.

If it isn’t the cold it’s the snowfall. Heavy snowfall warnings is all we’ve been getting lately. Seems that whenever we get any snow, we get dumped on all at once. There’s no flurry here or there, it’s just BLAMO! here you go, thank you very much, please come again!

I keep posting this every year simply because it’s a good one, and I never get tired of shaking the shit out of that snow globe.

When you shake the snow globe, the old man (MacBros) will pop his head out and say something. Leave the globe alone, and he’ll yell at the people playing outside.

Last night got really messy as you can see by the video. Although the video doesn’t really show the detail enough to actually display just how bad it really was, it still shows some really nasty weather.

While watching the video, pay attention to the snow drift and how high it gets in just a couple of hours. The black car slowly disappears behind it, and the building with the light does too.

After the snow stopped, the wind didn’t. It is still blowing like crazy now.

The supermarket now has mountains of snow, and the shortcut to the store is now blocked by a huge mountain of snow. Now I have to go all the way around the long way.

I really hate winter. It’s cold and messy.

Well, today’s crappy weather is no better than my luck today.

I called to see if my drive was actually going to show up, but the person who answered the phone said that they wouldn’t be going in anymore. So I guess she ended up quitting after all. Would have been nice if she informed me though, instead of having me wonder what the hell was going on.

So I called a cab and went to work. The traffic was really thick coming in the opposite direction. Everybody was headed into town and I was headed out.

When I got to work, the place was quiet. There were only a handful of people there. Nobody on the production floor. I stood around for about 5 minutes and snapped a photo of one of the Fido Dogs they have there, then somebody came up to me and asked who I was and why I was there. I told them I was there because I was working today. She asked me when I was supposed to start, and I said that I assumed it was 8am and in integration.

Well, since I wasn’t there yesterday, I didn’t get the info on the schedule. I was off today and ended up having to call a cab to get back home, which took forever because of the morning rush hour. I also ended up wasting $17 in cab fairs for fuck all! I was really pissed off. I Still am actually. Pissed off at the fact that I wasted money I can’t afford to waste at the moment and that my drive didn’t even bother to let me know they were quitting, so I could make other arrangements to get to and from work.

Well, I didn’t do much today, except watch a movie and play on the Internet.

I went next door to pick up some stuff and was shocked to see this!

I took that with my Blackberry and uploaded it to Flickr. But that must have fell in under 2 hours because when I looked out earlier there was nothing on the ground. And it’s still falling as I type this. I just thought we were supposed to get a tiny bit.

Speaking of the supermarket. When I went in there was a lot of people in there standing in line to use the regular check out and barley anybody in the Self service checkouts.

Are people to chicken to use these things or what? They’re faster, except when you have a family with 3 carts of food and 7 kids playing with the machine, or when you have some boob that doesn’t know what they’re doing and isn’t listening to the voice prompts, “Please place your item in the fucking bag!” but instead places them back into the cart. So the thing is repeating itself and the idiot is wondering what the hell is going on.

But I just zoom right on through. I like these things. They’re a lot more cheerful than the people working the tills at the regular checkouts.

I almost fell on my ass again climbing up the hill to my place. I need new shoes that have traction. The ones I have now are worn out and are very slippery.

So I don’t go back to work till 2pm tomorrow afternoon. I have late shifts which sucks monkey balls. Plus the shifts are 9 hours long. Which is actually good considering I missed two days and I am broke.

Speaking of broke, I get paid tomorrow, and it will all be gone to rent. I don’t even think it will be enough for rent either and if you think that is bad. I got a notice under my door saying pay the rent or get the fuck out by the 22nd.

I’m hoping that they will take what I got and let me pay the difference on my next pay. We’ll see about that tomorrow when I call.

I’ve never been so screwed like this.
