OK, so this is the day I have to do a lot of things.

First off, I have to go next door to the supermarket and beer store to puck up a few things and to get some beers for the days that I’m off, and possibly a kick start for when I get home after work and get ready for the staff party. OH, and HOLY SHIT it’s COLD outside!

Speaking of beers. While I was in the beer store buying my Keiths, there was this lady that walked up to one of the workers and said, “Yesterday I bought an 8-pack of beer and when I got home one of the bottles were broken and beer was all over the bottom of the box and the cap was still on. What do I do? Can I get a replacement bottle?”

I’m thinking, “Yeaaah, riiiiight. That’s really believable.”

Unfortunately for her the store worker asked her for the empty bottle, and surprising to both the worker and myself, she didn’t have it. How unfortunate.

So anyway, I got my beer and it’s in the fridge keeping cold. I have a stash of stomach meds to take before heading out to the party, so no fire ends up shooting up my throat ending my night of fun. I have my camera all charged up, my duds laid out for the quick change when I get home from work. The cats are fed.

Just an hour to go before I start work and slave away for just 5 1/2 hours till 10pm. Jeepers, I just realized the amount of cash I’ll be spending on cab fair going to work and back and to the party. Damn! Good thing there a cab service provided by the boss for the ride home. I had better get some good blackmail pictures and video dammit!

There are going to be some nice prizes there too. A trip all exclusive trip and cruise, to the Caribbean, I think it was, and (this is off the top of my head) $1,500 cash I think it was what I read on the memo. I’ll have to re-verify that when I go into work.

UPDATE: The prizes are actually an all inclusive trip for two to Mexico, and  a Caribbean Cruise for two or cash of $1,500.

Speaking of work, I had better get a bite to eat and get my ass ready for hell work.

UPDATE: I got off a few hours early because it was very slow. So I guess I’ll have a head start.

They’re throwing a staff party tomorrow night and I have been debating with myself whether to go or not.

I have t o work until 10pm and everybody says the party starts to pick up at that time. But the dinner is before that and I wanted to have the dinner if I ended up going. Since I’m working during the dinner I will be missing out on it.

I was actually leaning towards not even bothering to go until one co-worker said he wanted me to go because it would be fun, and of course I’m the life of a party. But I really didn’t know if I wanted to go until he suggested I bring the camera.

OH YES! Great Idea! Can we say Blackmail? Photoshop? Video editing?

There will be Karaoke tomorrow night at the staff party as well. So that should be some great footage to catch huh?

Thing is that when I get to drinking, and combine that with Karaoke, I become a Drunk Karaoke Junkie. So my evil plans may end up backfiring on me. But what the hell? The camera batteries are charging right now.

The only thing I don’t look forward to is that if I do go, I will want to have a good time, and it’s very likely that I will get a nice buzz on. I’m not looking forward to having the boss and the chef seeing me have a good time as it seems the only time they see me outside of work is when I have a buzz on. That’s why they think I’m some sort of drunk all the time.

I’m going to have to take a handful of stomach meds before I go or one beer will have me coming home. If I drink a beer without the meds, it churns up the GERD, and it’s not fun having fire acid burning up your throat all the time.

So in the end, I guess I will be going after all. I will have to come home and shower first and wash the stink of Kitchen Grease off of me and make myself all pretty.

I’ll be going for blackmail footage and the beer. OH! And to indulge in a little bit of Karaoke too I guess or maybe.
