Remember This One?

Tuesday Jun 23, 2009

OK, I know. I’m evil   Just thought it would be nice to have this song play in your head all day.

Travelling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,

“Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.”

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscle
I said, “Do you speak-a my language?”
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

“I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.” (Yeahhh!)

Dying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and nothin’ much to say
I said to the man, “Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?”
And he said,

“Oh, you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder? (ooohh)
You better run, you better take cover.”

We are..

Livin’ in a land down under,
Where women glow and men plunder, (yeahhhhhhhhhh)
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder? (thunderrrrr!)
You better run, you better take cover.

Livin’ in a land down under,
Where women glow and men plunder,
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder? (oooo yeahhhh!)
Then I run, and then I take cover. (yea)

We are…

Livin’ in a land down under, (underrrr)
Where women glow and men plunder,
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder? (oooo da da laa yeahhh!)
Then I run, then I take cover.

Funny 911 Emergency Call

Monday Jun 15, 2009

I forgot all about this funny video.

It’s been sitting in my in-box for months and I meant to post this a long time ago.

Ooops!

Well, here it is anyway. It’s still funny as hell. A lot of you probably have already seen it by now, but if ya’ haven’t, then that’s good too. :P

LOL @ That crazy lady. What a whack job, and no pun intended.

Friday The 13th: Killer Cut

Thursday Jun 11, 2009

Friday-the-13th-Logo

OK, I’m not going to sugar coat this one. The Friday the 13th: Killer Cut remake directed by Marcus Nispel was far from entertaining. Well for me at least. I say that because I was one of the many who saw the originals when they first came out, but for those who are new to the whole Friday the 13th world, then they may get a bit of entertainment out of it.

I put together a clip that was rather difficult to do because it’s pretty much the same throughout the entire movie. Just senseless killing with no real story line except a guy looking for his lost sister, but even with that the movie goes off the storyline a lot.

this is something you might just want to watch to kill some time on a dark and boring night. Or maybe a slasher movie fest party over some weekend where a bunch of buddies get together to party and get drunk while watching horror movies. I dunno, I’m just sayin’.

I didn’t care much for the movie, but it was a time filler for the night there was nothing but re-runs on TV.

Get the Friday the 13th: Killer Cut DVD for home viewing in a cold dark room. Then you just might get into the movie, but not THAT into the movie.

Watch it if you wanna’, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those who grew up watching the originals. Or rent it from Blockbusters using your free trial.

Trafalgar Square Sing-Along (video)

Wednesday Jun 10, 2009

I wish some marketing company would do something this big around here, it would be so awesome to get involved in something like this.

Again, this is the first time I’ve seen this commercial. It’s probably been around for awhile, and yes I’ve been hiding under a rock. When you have a shitty job like mine, you just don’t get out that much.

13,500 people sang Hey Jude together in Trafalgar Square.  How awesome would that be!?

But anyway. I would love to get into something like this. Be involved in something so big.

Maybe a giant drink along? Hey! Keith’s IPA company. :D

Leo Laporte Blows Up At Mike Arrington (video)

Tuesday Jun 9, 2009

If you’re familiar with Leo Laporte, you’ll probably know hims as a calm and thick skinned techie individual. I have been watching his tech shows for a very long time now, From Tech TV’s Screensavers, to Call For Help. I have never seen him explode like this with another person before.

The whole thing took place on Tech Crunch when he was about to show off a new gadget he was asked to review. The Palm Pre to be exact.

This has become such a popular video that it has already made it to Keyboard Cat.

This is a simple case of a person under pressure and stress and has unfortunately made it’s way on camera. All Mike was trying to set up was that if it was a Free Palm Pre it might be influencing his review, but before Mike could finish setting up the whole thing, Leo lost his nerve and blew up on Mike.

Leo has since apologized for the incident at Tech Crunch on the post about the incident, and has also made the apology live on air also.

I imagine is very embarrassed about all this publicity because it’s out of character IMO. Just a case of somebody having a bad day obviously.

But hey, it’s sure fun to watch though hey? :D

Groove Is In The Heart

Tuesday Jun 9, 2009

I bet you thought you had that tune out of your head huh? LOL!

If you haven’t seen this commercial over the past winter, then consider yourself lucky. This tune was stuck in my head the entire season. But you have to admit, it’s pretty catchy huh. Maybe this one can go under the Sticky Brain Music category. LOL

The Song: Gorrv is in the Heart
By: DeeLite

I was just going to post the audio, but thought the video would be better and would explain a lot more.

This commercial was coming on every 20 minutes on some stations and you couldn’t help finding yourself either humming, whistling, or doing that human Tuba sound.

You can expect to have this stuck in your head for at least two days. And you’re very welcome.

Dancing Eyebrows (Video)

Monday Jun 8, 2009

I’m not sure just how old this comercial is, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. When I did I nearly split my side open from laughing so hard. This is hilarious!

A brother and sister’s moment of mischief when backs are turned and they are left to their own devices. The kids crank out a range of eyebrow dance moves to ‘Don’t Stop the Rock’ by electro-funk superstar, Freestyle.

Enjoy the vid.
