Seems the city added yet, another web cam to their network. The now have one taking a shot over the Westmorland Street Bridge here in Fredericton NB. So I’ve tapped into it for your liking.
Check it out before you head out. You might just avoid unnessary traffic.

I’m all for a little rain every now and again, but this is ridiculous! It’s been raining for the past week now! OK, sure, there’s been a break in the rain every once in awhile, but I’m starting to forget what the sun feels like.
The long term forecast doesn’t look promising either as you can see from my desktop weather widget. I really, really, really hope that they are wrong about Tuesday though. Or at least wrong for Tuesday night so I can go watch the fireworks display for Canada Day. I would like to go there and take some video and pictures of the show.
There are a lot of events that are supposed to take place on Tuesday (Canada Day) too. There’s a block party, which you can watch on the web cam under the Officers Square cam, and maybe you’ll even catch the fireworks on the SJ River cam too.
I think we’ve had enough rain anyway. It’s cooling down a bit too much and it’s making things feel all damp all the time.
Anybody out there feel like taking away this gloomy weather? It’s yours if ya’ want it.

So I have had the web cam running for just over a month now and not one view was recorded into the logs. I was wondering why for the longest time too.
Every time I went to the page, it was working, so I just assumed it was working for the rest of the world.
I was wrong.
Last night I was chatting with Corey and we half arsed tried to get it to work, but we both were a bit under the influence to say the least. But we were on the right track as far as what the problem was though.
It had to do with some port forwarding because of the router that I have to connect my PC to my PlayStation 3.
Well today I have it fixed and it is working properly again. I know that the web cam is working because I had it tested by John Raul from the Philippines.
So if you want to watch the Cat Cam or Me sometimes, you can visit the web cam page since it’s working again.

I went to my web cam page to see how the rising waters were doing and to see if it’s flooding as bad as I thought it would be. Well Unfortunately the cams were down for maintenance and I couldn’t see. That’s when I noticed that my web cam image was completely black. WTF?
I went into the camera settings as I thought it was something that was turned off or something, but no matter what I did, the image wouldn’t come back.
I believe that this old Logitech Webcam Pro 3000 that I believe is over 6 or 7 years old has finally kicked the bucket. There’s never going to be another image captured by it ever again….. ever.
To top it off, just as I went to put it aside to take a last time photo of it before it went into the trash, it’s head popped open. Just like one of the droids in Star Wars did when Luke and his Father were buying used droids from the Ewoks. *BOING!*
Funny huh? I sorta thought so, but not so much when I realized that I’m out a web cam now. Just so you all know, my Birthday is coming up in August, so if you’re all wondering what to get me….. hint….hint….nudge…..nudge.
Another thing that happened earlier today was I was about to go do some laundry but I only have one Loonie and one Toonie (That’s a Canadian Dollar Coin and a Two Dollar Coin for those who don’t understand the Canadian Currency Lingo).
So I went to the Pop Machine and put the Tooniein there in hopes that when I hit the return button it would shit out two Loonies. It didn’t do anything so I was fucked into buying a $2.00 591ml bottle of Pepsi when just an hour before I just bough a 2L for 99¢.
So now I have to take 4 frigging quarters to the store next door and ask them to trade four quarters for one Loonie. They better not give me attitude…
Now they say things happen in threes, so…. I’m waiting. But before it happens, I would just like to say………………
For those who have been wondering why the web cams have been turned off lately and the Buddy and Brain cam is never running, that’s because when I got my new router for networking both my PC and PS3 together my old capture software wouldn’t work with it.
Well I got some new software and it all up and running again. So you voyuers can get your kicks at whatever you might catch again.
I actually updated all the cams because I noticed a few feeds from the city cams were changed. I also added an extra one that is linked to Justin.tv for when I want to share anything that needs audio, like playing Rock Band on the PS3.
Well that’s it. I’ve wasted enough time and never got anything important completed today. I have to get ready for wok now.
