The Beer Has Power Over Man!
Friday, January 28, 2005 19:13 | 97 viewsYup, caved in. The beer had a very strong power over me and forced me to spend my last twenty bucks by twisting my rubber arm out of its socket. I tried to fight it but all I could hear was this voice inside my head saying, ” Join the Dark Side John.” over and over again. Err, no wait, wrong story. The voice was saying more along the lines of,” Ooooh yeaaaaaa, wouldn’t a nice cold beer be great John? After this long hard week, you deserve it! So go ahead and spend that well earned twenty dollars and buy yourself that nice, cold, delicious, refreshing, mind altering box of beer. Go ahead John, I’m waiting for you at the beer store, and I’m sooooo lonely and I want you to come and save me from these strangers….” Well…. you get the point.
So I came to the rescue and saved 1 of many boxes of beer from the horror of being alone. I wanted to save more but my wallet couldn’t support any extra souls. But to my surprise there were others that joined in to help, even one of my friends Corey gave a helping hand. I don’t know how many were actually saved because I had to leave the scene due to the fact that my box of beer needed help immediately. So I took it home and started to help them get familiar with the new surroundings. I had to keep them alert by constantly lifting them up from the table and holding them upside down every once in a while. Unfortunately each one seemed to be loosing a lot of life so I end up returning them to the the box they came in to serve as a temporary coffin. I’m working on each one separately because I can only handle one at a time, I’ll try and go faster, but every time I loose one to the box I feel a little bit of disorientation, but not in a bad way oddly, but in fact in a humble happy way. Maybe I feel this way because I feel better knowing that they’ll be in a better place. I’ve been cleaning the place while keeping an eye on them, I vacuumed the carpet and swept and mopped the floors while listening to the Classic Station on my Launch station. The beers seem to enjoy it because while I’m busy they seem to last a little longer.
Now that I’m done cleaning up, it seems they are going into the box faster and faster.
Unfortunately, I now realize that no matter what I do, they will all perish. I’ll stay by their side right to the end. At least there will be somebody by their side when the end comes.
I have to go, seems I lost two while writing this entry. I’ll keep you all posted of any changes.
Wish me luck.. er’ with the beers luck too I guess.

I hope that the liberation (libation?) went well. I freed a few last night but was exhausted before the 1/2 way point, so I will renew my liberation efforts tonight! I will save the whole box, I will!
