The Perfect Server - For Real?

Being the webmaster for the restaurant that I work at, I sometimes read the comments of customers that have visited the Restaurant that happen to go to the web site to voice their opinion. I get the comments also because on the comment card there is a rating for the web site too, and I too need to know what others are saying about it.
Unfortunately, I also read some comments where customers were either very dissatisfied or horrified by the service they received from their server. Mind you I’ve only read a couple of comments where the customer was completely horrified, but there are still those who received bad service simply because the server was either new, or didn’t know how to do the job properly.
Then I saw this. If the boss is reading this, he might want to check out this waitress training DVD that he could lend out to the ones who need it, or even get a group together and have them watch it.
The 94 minute DVD has some extra features that include;
- Module-based programming
- Printable extras
- Interactive quizzes
- Printable certificate of mastery
The video will have the viewers laughing at the blunders of one guy, but learn from the success of another server in the video.
It’s not just the restaurant that I work at, because I’ve experienced some pretty rotten service from grumpy servers, or just the pure lack of service period. This DVD should be in the possession of every restaurant owner in my opinion.
And after your wait staff has competed the video training, then why not pour yourself a huge glass of wine. Check out this wine glass, it’s HUGE! Read the overview, it’s actually funny. ![]()

yeah, right. Perfect hip waiters and now perfect servers? I’m not buying any of it!
HA! HA! That was Hip Waders, Hip W-A-D-E-R-S!
LOL. When the hubby went to work at the Base Club (back when I was AF), they sent him to waiter’s school. I was really impressed with what all they went over. And the only time I got less than good service was when I would go eat at the club while James was working and sit in his area.
He was one of the favorites on the wait staff. Of course, like me, he would rather shovel shit that work in food service ever again.
I think everybody has worked food service at one point in their life.
Honestly, I never have. I don’t think I want to though.
